1965 Cobra Daytona Coupe Before factory five company....there where very few companies offering a replica. Started in 1992. This is one of the earliest cars . Car was Finish built 1998. Try and own anything close to a Ford Daytona anything.....This was a priority to make one....This is it. Z conversion donor Under the hood: 408 cid Ford small-block V8 (Windsor stroker), outfitted with: Ford GT40X aluminum heads, Comp Cams pushrods and roller rockers, Z–303 camshaft, Eagle forged-steel crank and rods, SRP forged flat top pistons, Griffin aluminum radiator. ! 10.5:1 compression ratio, internally balanced. Edelbrock RPM 'Air Gap' intake. Fuel system: Aeromotive 220 gph (833 Lph) fuel pump & Aeromotive fuel filter, Earl's SS braided fuel lines, 650 cfm Holley double-pumper carburetor. ! Geartrain: Centerforce steel flywheel, Centerforce II clutch & pressure plate, Tremec 5-speed gearbox, narrowed 9" Ford rear end fitted with 3:00:1 True Lock gears. In the cockpit: Autometer gauges, anti-rollover tubular steel rollbar. This is a total (Ford-equipped) Daytona Coupe . Full Custom Coachworks Inc chassis/Full tubular frame.Drilled rotor/disk brakes/ 4wheel caliper system. Adjustable 4link suspension.Adjustable front suspension. It has a theft system on it with a key box and a button to disable it.! This is a great driving machine—it runs smooth and powerfully delivers exhilarating "get up and go"... Old school replica fiberglass body 7/16" thick......Newer replicas have 3/16" thick bodies.......Weld *tm racing wheels. ....... .The more I Looked up the history of this build the more rare we found it to be. There where not alot of companies offering this car..it did originate in California Surely performs like one......very fast.
