1965 Sunbeam Tiger MKI for sale. 289 Engine, 4 speed Transmission, 3:55 rear end. Real Tiger, NOT an Alpine clone. Original California car with black plate included In sale. This is a three owner car. Two owners in CA from 1965 to 1996, Then Michigan to Virginia when my retired Chrysler exec neighbor purchased the car and basically put it away in the garage for the most part. The car was modified in Northern CA. Originally this was a 260 Carnival Red 4 speed Convertible Sunbeam Tiger. In 1995 it got high dollar Emerald Green metallic paint. Restoration and drivetrain Rebuild and suspension upgrades in 1987 with approx. 3600 miles driven since completion. The car runs very well, shifts, corners and stops like the high performance car it is, just Like Carroll Shelby intended. I will say it goes like hell when throttled. This is definitely NOT your kids first car. The interior could use a bit of tidying and the top is showing some age, either the top Has shrunk or I don’t quite understand how to latch it but either way it has not been up in over 20 years according to my neighbor. The body is close to perfect with some small dings in paint and front bumper losing some chrome. There is no Rust in the car, EVER. This is a real California car and has no rust or rust repair. It has never been wrecked, re-bodied or any of that nonsense. It is a Genuine Sunbeam Tiger V8 car with original body, top loader 4-speed transmission and rear end. I have verified the car with the Tiger Registry and Norman Miller. The car was given a California DMV registration number in the 1980’s but I have the JAL plate & a photo copy of the original VIN plate #B9470870LRXFE, 2013, A27KA, 39 . (the VIN plate may in fact be under the aluminum show cowl installed by previous owner for car shows, I have not taken it off. ) Clean Virginia title in possession. Paypal Deposit of $500.
