This car has been stored in my dry, but very dusty, garage for about 10 years. This 914 has a full compliment of the options offered in 1973, including heated seats, front and rear factory sway bars, Fuchs wheels, and a full complement of gauges. The original color is Porsche yellow, with a tan interior. The prior owner told me it was originally a 2.0 liter car, but he only provided the partial 1.7 liter engine pictured. I do have a 2.0 liter engine, from a different car, available for purchase separately to the winning bidder. The transmission is a side shift and turns freely. This car needs restoration. Although it is a relatively low rust 914, it does have rust in the area under the battery, like most 914s, and several small (under 1 inch) rust holes in the firewall, the rockers appear to be in good shape, including the jack points (although the jack receiver holes need some attention). The passenger side rear mounting point for the trailing arm needs repair, please see the picture. 3 or the 5 Fuchs wheels are in good condition, just need to be cleaned and polished, the remaining two have some minor curb rash, pictured. The front hood has some damage to the underside supports but the outer skin appears straight. The car can be viewed during the auction, it is located 100 miles NW of Albuquerque, NM. A $500 dollar, non refundable, deposit, payable through Paypal is due at the end of the auction, the remaining balance can be paid in cash, US dollars, when the vehicle is picked up.
