Your chance to bid on one of the coolest Corvettes ever made. A 1978 Pace Car. This is one of the last Bill Mitchell influenced Corvettes. Great color combo, black over silver with silver leather and silver tinted t-tops. This Corvette was built to pace the Indy 500 on the silver anniversary of the Corvette in 1978. I think they made about 6,500 of these as a limited production model. This Corvette has 86550 original miles. It runs and drives great. It has all its original interior, and other bits. This Corvette has had only two owners and has been in CA its whole life. There is absolutely no rust on it. There have been no serious accidents. You can see in the photos there is a crack in the passenger side fender, some scratches on the hood and the rear bumper driver side has some damage. This Corvette still wears it's original paint. The passenger side glass t-top is cracked but holds out the weather. The headlights don't retract as far as I know. The seat covers need replacement. This Corvette has had plenty of money tossed at it in the mechanical dept. Receipts totaling $5,144.42 for brakes, starter, ball joints, ac service etc. in the last several years. The engine is all intact and numbers matching. It has power windows, AC, AT, and L-82 Engine which is the 220 hp or highest hp engine at the time. With the auto transmission, it goes down the road pretty well and has that classic Stingray feel with the long front hood and the low ride profile. Overall, this Corvette looks good going down the road but not a trailer queen. You can drive it as is or do some restoration but not too shabby.
