Vehicle Detail

After 25 years of ownership, I am selling my 1953 Hudson Hornet Club Coupe. The color is Black over Seal Gray, Base coat clear coat is flawless. The paint code is 147. This may be the finest restored Hornet anywhere as the photos can attest to. I have more photos. This Hornet was awarded a Grand National First Place at the 2015 Antique Automobile Clubs Annual Grand National Meet in Tucson Az. It runs as well as it looks. In addition , the car was the 2001 cover car for the Hemmings Motor News Cars of the Fifties. A new 2001 calender comes with the car, as well as a copy of Hemmings Motor News Book of Hudsons . This is a composite of Hemmings(ClassicCars/Special Interest Autos) stories of select Hudsons since 1971. This Hornet is the cover car for that publication as well. The winning bidder will receive my entire collection of parts worth in excess of $2000. Parts include a excellent Twin H manifold pair, an extra original radiator, a mint restored blue steering wheel ( the one on the car is mint also), virtually every switch and Auto Lite electrical parts such as: a new Distributor, Generator & VR (Blue style... 45 amp), ALL NOS bearings brakes with extra drums. Even the brand new PPG glass is date coded 8/52 as is correct. I have a data sheet of all the parts, if someone is that interested. The cars build date was the 3rd week of December 1952. It was delivered to the Hudson Dealer in Broadway, Va. Some one had a Merry Christmas. The 4 speed Hydro- Matic was rebuilt by a Hydro expert in Chicago. HET guys know who I mean. Less than 1500 miles have been added since. The NADA lists the value of this Hornet at $39,400. Of course that does not include the parts and manuals that I am offering with the car. There is NO RESERVE! So if you are in the market for a fine Hudson Hornet Coupe, this is an unbeatable offer.Of course no warranty is implied due to age. Both the car & me. I reserve the right to end the auction before its end time. The winning bidder must send the usual stated payment to PayPal within 48 hours and full payment within 7 days. The car must be picked up in Tucson AZ within 30 days from the end of the auction. DON'T let this one get away. This car is the best. I am a 26 year member of the Hudson Essex Terraplane Club & a Life Member of the AACA. I have reduced the starting bid considerably. Please understand that to restore this car in its present condition would cost well over $70,000. Good Luck bidding! Ron
