2001 PORSCHE 911/996 twin Turbo! ONE OF THE FASTEST STREET 996 K24/18g TWIN TURBOS IN THE WORLD! SEAL GREY METALLIC WITH GUARDS RED FULL VINYL WRAP - VIRTUALLY EVERY OPTION - GET READY! Although others may claim they have a fast car, this car has time slips, dynamometer printouts and videos to confirm my claim that this car is truly a world beater in terms of performance and bang-for-the-buck excitement! This car has over 700 horsepower and has easily run 10 seconds in the quarter mile at 137 mph on a conservative tune by one of the best in the industry (EPL). Car has also VBoxed (60-130mph) in 5.7 seconds! That is faster than most any production vehicle in the world (for a fraction of the price). Therefore, please do not bid on this car unless you want to go fast and be noticed. What is truly amazing is that even though this car has such staggering power and performance, it is still very civilized and comfortable as a daily driver. Personally, I have driven it all over the Northeastern United States to several car shows and events. It has never given me a problem, and has been one of the most reliable exotic sports cars I have ever owned. The only reason I am selling is due to the acquisition of substantial real estate in recent months and my lack of usage over the last year. Over the last 30 years that I have been driving sports cars, I have owned several high performance vehicles including Audi, BMW, Lotus, Maserati, Mercedes/AMG, Porsche, and a few heavily modified Honda S2000s and Toyota Supra Twin Turbos. All of these cars were great in their own right. Some were modified, others were not. Yet, I have NEVER been in, let alone owned, a car that has received so much positive attention from people of all ages. I cannot even leave my neighborhood without someone giving me a “thumbs up” or stopping me to ask what kind of car it is. Kids stop to ask if they can take pictures with the car and seniors stop to reminisce about their own personal Porsche experiences when they were young. It is truly a car and design for the ages - all ages. The car has been modernized with LED lighting and other exterior enhancements. In fact, most people who see this car think it is a "brand new" car. When I tell them that it is a 2001, nobody can believe it! I am a middle-aged professional who has a penchant for fine automobiles that are faster than most other cars (and liter bikes) on the road. I have owned several Porsches, including another 996 Twin Turbo. However, this particular Turbo is by far the nicest and fastest Porsche I have ever owned – BY FAR! It requires a responsible owner, who understands the dangers of such high-speed exhilaration. For the money, this has to be one of the most ultimate, exclusive, exotic and reliable sports cars in the world. In fact, when talking “bang for the buck”, this car is virtually impossible to beat! Not to mention, its value is now increasing, due in large part to its marquee and its bulletproof Mezger engine. The interior and exterior are in excellent condition. In fact, the paint underneath the full professional Hexis “guards red” vinyl wrap is as close to a “10” as you can get, other than being brand new. This is one of the main reasons I chose to wrap the entire car - for complete protection of the paint during my ownership (I drive my cars – they are not garage queens). The car has never been in any type of accident and both the Carfax and Autocheck scores are indicative of this car’s excellent history and condition. I have owned this car for approximately 4 years. In that time, I have put about 15,000 miles on it. The car is currently averaging just under 5000 miles per year, a very low but healthy estimate (these cars are meant to be driven). I am NOT a dealer, and to my knowledge, this car has only been maintained by qualified and certified mechanics who specialize in Porsche 996 turbo setups. I have all modification and service records SINCE NEW totaling over $60,000.00 ($10,000 interior; $20,000 exterior; $30,000 performance) in upgrades (see below for a modification list – all records for modifications and applicable services are available upon request). The folder of receipts and documents that come with this car is extensive and the most organized out of any car I have ever owned (it is part of what sold me on the car when I bought it). The car even comes with a full blueprinted and documented engine/oil analysis for those that are interested. In fact, the most recent Blackstone oil analysis (within last 1000 miles) revealed spectacular results, eliciting very positive comments from Blackstone personnel on the overall engine's condition. This car is NOT a "leaker" or a "smoker" (very rare for these cars). It also does NOT have any of the traditional problems plaguing some of the older 996s (leaky coolant pipes, 2nd gear pop-out, pressure leaks, etc.). Any and all known or common issues with these cars in general have been carefully addressed and corrected. You will likely not find a better or more completely sorted out 996 Twin Turbo than this car. You have everything you could possibly want to know about the prior owners and service visits in the file. All work was professionally installed and I am willing to put any and all serious bidders in contact with the builder and tuner of this car. Although the car is available for inspection prior to the close of the auction (and I actually encourage it), I also intend to advertise and reserve the right to sell the car locally. Given the overwhelming attention and interest this car has drawn from the local car community, I do not expect it to be on the market for very long. Therefore, I can tell you from my own experience shopping for clean and tastefully modified Porsche 996 turbos (I have literally traveled all over the country!) --- if you wait to bid, you may miss the opportunity to own this incredible car!!! TASTEFUL UPGRADES Wheels/Tires - 2 Sets!! iForged Monaco “Deep Dish” 19” wheels – These wheels are absolutely amazing and fit perfectly on the 996 turbo. I sent these rims out to be refinished by the factory about a year ago so they are in virtually brand new condition. New, these wheels run about $8000.00 I have owned approximately 10 sets of wheels/tires for the 996 turbos, so I understand how difficult these cars are to properly fit with wheels (because of the car’s aggressive offsets). Very few companies make aftermarket wheels that fit properly on this car, but these wheels are absolutely perfect. Michelin Pilot Sport 19” tires – For this car, these tires have a proven track record. Considered by some to simply be the best all-around tire (although not the cheapest) for this particular car. All tires have over 85% tread remaining, and there is NO uneven wear on any tire due to proper fitment, alignment and corner balancing.!! EXTRA SET OF WHEELS/TIRES !!OEM Porsche Factory Turbo "Hollow Spoke" 18" Wheels – These highly sought after OEM wheels are original to the car, and are some of the most lightweight performance wheels on the market today. They were recently refinished in gloss black with matching black Porsche emblem center caps. They have hardly been used on the car, but I added a few pictures to this ad of what the car looks like with them on. Should the winner bidder decide that they do not wish to have both sets of rims/tires, I will discount the final price accordingly. Hoosier/BFG – VERY few miles on these tires. Only used a few times for a couple of car events. Still have stubbies! All tires have over 95% tread remaining, and there is NO uneven wear on any tire due to proper fitment, alignment and corner balancing.
