Vehicle Detail

This is a 1979 Chevy Corvette. I purchased it in October 2007 with 89,631 miles. In March of 2008 the engine blew up. We replaced the engine with a brand new crate engine purchased from Heritage Chevrolet in Chester, Va. and the new engine has approximately 4,000 miles since the rebuild of the car. The trans was rebuilt by Mr Weaver himself of Weaver Transmission in Henrico, Va. He told me when we picked it up he rebuilt like he would have for his own car. A friend of mine is "After Hours Rods & Customs" and he did the body work (removing the factory seal seams on both sides and replacing it as well as fitting the new cowl induction hood) and the custom paint. All the emblems were removed and painted on. Southern Air did the AC rebuild including new compressor. We replaced the lower control arm bushings and under coated the car. A local custom muffler shop replaced the exhaust with true dual exhaust using 2" pipe, 2 Spencat Catalytic converters, 2 flow master mufflers into two 2 1/2" stainless turn down tips all connected to the new header pipes. 17" Torque thrust style wheels with Ventus HR II 235/55 R17 tires were added. This is a driver and not a show car so it has some nicks. Mainly on the front nose cone, back of each headlight bucket, the rear of the drivers side rear wheel well, the passenger side rear quarter, and on the top quarter passenger side near the window. It also needs both windows adjusted and the window seal on the rear of each window needs to be flipped. The passenger side rear wheel sounds like a brake is dragging at times and I haven't repaired it. Car sounds and runs fantastic and is a real head turner. Not a show car but wouldn't take much to make it one and at this price that is very achievable. Payment must be cash or bank check (funds must be received before title will be signed over). Buyer is responsible for shipping/pickup. I will assist as much as possible within reason. I've tried to describe the car as honestly as possible, if you have questions please feel free to contact me. Car must sell!
