This is a no reserve auction for a Saab 9-3 I have owed for the past 3 years or so. This is a reliable, inexpensive car. I am selling it because I bought a Volvo wagon to better suit the needs of the family. The car has not let me down in the time I’ve owned it. I purchased the car with 126,135 miles on the car and I’ve only had to do the normal maintenance (oil changes, tires, and brakes). The car is 11 years old and it isn't perfect. The downside is the exterior cosmetics. The upside is the car is super dependable. The bad: ExteriorCosmetically, there are imperfections all around the body of the car.o The clear coat has peeled on the hood and passenger door. It was this way when I bought the car and has not worsened (see photo). o The rear bumper is cracked (see photo). It was this way when I bought the car and has not worsened. o There are some small dents on one section of the trunk lid (see photo). A tree fell on the car in my driveway. The trunk operates just fine. o There is a small dent on the driver’s front fender from someone backing into the car a few months ago. I was in a metered parking stall and someone backed into the car thinking the parking spot was empty. I could not get the dent to appear in the pictures. This is the accident reported on the Carfax report. If it was something major, I would mention it, but it was so minor, I never even bothered fixing the car after the accident. o The car has scratches that do not show up in photos. The radio does not work. I believe it is the common issue with Saab 9-3’s: the amplifier under the driver’s seat is bad ($100 for a used amp). The left side rear door lock sometimes will not unlock with the key fob. Other times it will unlock just fine with the key fob.There is a small nick in the windshield, about the size of a quarter (see photo). It was this way when I purchased the car and has not spread. The good: Motor The car cranks right over. It idles quietly at 800 rpm. It is smooth on the highway. When going to work, I usually set the cruise control at 80 and there are no shakes or shimmies. The car is quiet.I have used synthetic oil for the past 50K, although I do not know what the previous owner(s) used. No exhaust smoke.Turbo functions as it should.Four matching all-season Dunlop tires with good tread.The brakes were done last year: rotors and pads.The car went through inspection last month without any problem. Interior All buttons and options work on the car, including: o Power driver’s seat (manual passenger seat) o Cruise control (I used it daily commuting to work) o Power driver and passenger side mirrors o Power windows o Power locks o Air conditioning blows cold o Heat cranks o Trunk release o Interment wipers o Tilt wheel o Rear defroster All gauges work.All lights work. No tears in the carpet or seats. No odors. The car also comes with a set of 4 Dunlop Graspic DS-3 winter snow tires mounted on Saab OEM rims. It makes for an easy change over of the all-season Dunlop tires to the snow tires for the winter months. This car is a great deal for someone with a low budget, without sacrificing reliability. The car is 11 years old so know that it is not perfect, but it is reliable and ready to be driven daily without the need to put money into it.
