I originally purchased the car with the intentions of doing an s54 swap. This is car is a California car is whole life, still on the original issue blue California plates never registered out of state. You may notice I am from Massachusetts, I drove my flatbed all the way out to San Francisco to pick up an 89-91 (good bumpers) sub 100k original mile no accident no rust all original alpine white on black manual e30 coupe. I wanted to start with the best car possible for my swap, but the more and more I looked at the car I realized I didn't have the heart to tear apart such a clean car, and with the money I have already invested/ would invest it is smarter for me to just buy an e30 m3.When I got the car I just put in a new clutch/flywheel/battery/alternator and you could drive it every day now, also has a new behr radiator. I wanted a car with the original windshield because they often get replaced incorrectly with wire that scraped the paint off the window trim and causes rust (almost bought an e30 m3 with the entire windshield surround rusted out because of this), so I never got it replaced to show the buyer it still has the original glass and wont suffer this rust (truly a through and through rust free clean as it gets bodied e30, original windshield, no accident, original California plates...)Car was in storage for a year and a half before I purchased it and I never went through and cleaned and buffed everything out so the car has a lot of dust and some oxidized paint some nicks here and there, needs some new tires, etc, but it looks like it will clean up well. I just want to sell it as is as its a good honest car to a knowledgeable buyer looking for the desirable 89-91 (good bumpers) sub 100k mile no accident no rust all original alpine white on black manual e30 coupe that is willing to put a couple of hours into sorting out the small issues such as:Brake light pedal switch gets stuck on.Cracked dash and windshieldSometimes the tach needle gets stuck at around 2.5k RPMS on start upPoppable dent on the passenger side quarterNeeds rear tiresMight need the shifter to be realigned (R/1/3/5 seem slightly far forward)Some rims need to be repaintedthe emblems are a bit fadedone tail light has a hairline crack starting to formone heaadlight bowl has the relfective coating peelingPLEASE COME OUT AND TAKE A LOOK IF POSSIBLE, 30 year old cars can be hard to represent with a description and some pictures, and I don't want to have any miscommunications! I hate selling cars sight unseen, as I was the buyer to be as knowledgeable about the car as possible. I am truly a big BMW and 3-series (I've owned 7 in 4 years) fan and drove almost 7000 miles for this car and I want it to go to a good home and to someone who appreciates what I saw special in the car. Sorry for the bad pictures, car has been sitting in my garage since I brought it back from California while I debated what to do with it and just snapped some quick ones on my way out, but come see it in person!If I don't get the amount I am looking for and cash in hand by the end of August I am giving the car to my brother, so get it while you can.
