Vehicle Detail
This bike is an excellent condition survivor with 12,xxx miles that has been meticulously cared for. I’ve owned this bike for 13 years now and have gone through it extensively. The F model SuperSport included Comstar wheels, 4-1 exhaust, front & rear disc brakes, an approximately 10% higher output engine than the K, unique fuel tank, seat, and rear fairing. The bike is completely stock except for exhaust, mirrors, and handlebar grips. It is in excellent running order and ready to be enjoyed. Here is a list of things that have been done since I’ve owned it: · Seat professionally re-covered. · Gas tank replaced with an excellent condition matching tank with no internal rust. · Exhaust replaced with a Vance & Hines 4-1 like-in-kind replacement. · Carburetors disassembled, cleaned, re-sealed, re-jetted, and professionally tuned. · Both sprockets & high quality o-ring chain replaced. · Battery replaced. · Ignition points & condenser replaced. · Napoleon bar-end mirrors installed. · Brake system hydraulics completely rebuilt. · Fork seals replaced & oil changed. · Tires replaced recently with Bridgestone Battlax tires front & rear. These are really nice tires and are like new. · Main ignition switch replaced. · Valve cover gasket replaced. · Oil & filter changed annually. This bike has been garage kept since I’ve owned it and everything works as it should. I have the service manual, the original tank, original exhaust, original carburetor jets, and an extra set of re-faced gauges I did not install. This can all be included for an agreeable price. I am selling the bike because I have kids and have decided to give up this hobby so I can do something else to include them. The bike always starts nicely, but these bikes are notoriously cold-blooded. Once warmed up (5-10min riding time), it runs and idles just as it should. It is a fairly tall bike and probably not well suited for people with shorter legs. These bikes are hard to find, particularly ones that haven’t been turned into café racers or choppers.
