. I will have more photos up in a couple hours. 1987 CADILLAC BROUGHAM D' ELEGANCE 4 DOOR SEDAN This model was called the Fleetwood Brougham in 1986 . They dropped the Fleetwood portion in 1987 and made a separate car that was called a Fleetwood which is front wheel drive . The 1987 Broughams are rear wheel drive. It has the longest wheel base of any US made car of 1987, and in fact, it has the longest wheelbase of any car made in the World in 1987 with the possible exception of a Bugatti or some Limousines. This particular car is a very rare . It was ordered basically fully loaded by a GM executive whom owned it until I purchased it round 10 years ago . It has always been in a warm dry climate and stored indoors every night or whenever it was not being used. I bought it as a play car for myself and my wife to take to car shows or cruise around in on the weekends, unfortunately due to a recent physical disability, I am no longer able to drive and it is way to big for her to drive, so sadly, we can't cruise around in it anymore . If I could I would never sell this car because it is just an incredible car and so huge and bodacious it commands attention and embarrasses and humiliates all those pesky, envious, Mercedes drivers whom can't even afford to buy their car so they have to lease it. PERFORMANCE You don't "drive" this car, you "experience" it as you settle into its lush, elegant interior, then engage it's fuel saving overdrive transmission that shifts as solid as new and gently depress the throttle as it smoothly moves forward with the elegance of the Queen Mary leaving the port, until you reach highway speed at which time you apply the cruise control and the car practically drives itself as its optional "Level Ride" suspension package soaks up even the largest potholes without so much as causing a ripple in your freshly made Cinnamon Cafe Late' and the heavily insulated cabin creates an environment that is so quiet and serene that you can hear your sweetheart as they soflty whisper "I love....this car" into your ear . The car drives straight as an arrow and doesn't drift or wander on the highway even at Autobahn speeds. WARNING If you don't want others to think you have more money than they do....DON'T BUY THIS CAR If you do not want a car that is so comfortable to drive you might fall asleep in it...DON'T BUY THIS CAR If you don't want to go to a drive in or lookout point and have a back seat as big as a Queen size bed....DON'T BUY THIS CAR If you don't want to annoy other drivers and get the finger from them as they attempt to pass this behemoth....DON'T BUY THIS CAR UNUSUAL SPECIAL FACTORY OPTIONS CELL PHONE - Yes, it came with an old style brick cell phone but I stored it in a safe place and haven't found it as of yet but, if I do, it goes with the car. GARAGE DOOR OPENER - I still have this also. PARADE FLAGS - Yes, it came with 2 Parade Flags but I stored them in a safe place too, so if I find them, they also go with the car. TUFTED BUTTON PILLOWED SEATS - These only come with the optional D' Elegance package and they are so incredibly soft you will never want to get out of the car, I kid you not . They re also designed with a sight curve so they fit the contour of your body instead of being flat like the Lincoln Town Car seats are. LEATHER SEATS - Velour was standard and leather was an upgrade option for an additional $2500.00. REAR READING LIGHTS - These were part of the D' Elegance package only. GOLD PLATED DOOR LOCKS, AND EMBLEMS - These are plated with real 18 karat gold from the factory and came on the car when it was new . I have have never seen them on another Caddy. CONTINENTAL KIT - This is an incredibly rare option. The following are additional factory installed options this car has which are NOT part of the base D' Elegance package and were special ordered at additional cost. TWILIGHT SENTINEL - Automatically turns headlights on at dusk. GUIDE-MATIC HEADLIGHT CONTROL - Automatically changes headlights from dim to bright and bright to dim depending on how dark it is. POWERED MIRRORS SPLIT FRONT SEAT WITH INDIVIDUAL ARM RESTS DRIVERS SEAT MEMORY 6 WAY POWERED PASSENGER SEAT WITH POWERED RECLINING BACK DRIVER AND PASSENGER VISOR MOUNTED ILLUMINATED VANITY MIRRORS CONTROLLED CYCLE WIPER SYSTEM LEVEL RIDE - This is an automatic compressor operated self leveling air ride control. DOOR EDGE GUARDS LEATHER TRIMMED STEERING WHEEL TILT AND TELESCOPING STEERING WHEEL LEATHER "PILLOW TOP" SEATS ELECTRIC TRUNK LID RELEASE FORMAL CABRIOLET PADDED ROOF WIRE WHEEL COVERS - These are actually fairly rare. REMAINING OPTIONS Most of the other options are standard, like A/C with Climate Control, ps, pdb, pw, pdl, cruise, and stereo. On Jul-26-16 at 22:04:23 PDT, seller added the following information: ADDITIONAL PHOTOS A couple people asked for more photos of the rear seating area and the trunk so I just loaded those. The small lite is one of the two opera or reading lites that are available on this model only, and each has their own switch to operate them with. OPTIONAL TRUNK MAT AND TRUNK AREA I forgot to mention that this has the optional factory trunk mat that could be ordered at additional cost . It is the Tweed mat with the embossed Cadillac logo that can be seen in one of the new photos I posted . The mat is removable and just lays over the top of the trunk carpeting to protect it. Both the the optional mat and trunk carpeting are in showroom condition, and as far as I know, there has never even been anything carried in the trunk. On Jul-27-16 at 20:00:31 PDT, seller added the following information: I just realized that I didn't have any photos of the beautiful dash so I just added one. As you can easily see the steering wheel is leather wrapped and in perfect condition. ORIGINAL FACTORY BOOKS AND MANUALS I also forgot to mention that I have all the original books and manuals an the original CADILLAC embossed manual holder .
