1986 MERCEDES BENZ 560SL Offered here for the discerning Mercedes SL enthusiast is this 1986 Mercedes 560sl. The 560 was the last iteration of the 107 body and by popular opinion, they saved the very best for LAST! This fantastic example was built in November of 1985 under production order number 0 5 705 55206 (destination USA) and delivered to the new owner in Corrales, New Mexico in February of '86. All recommended factory services were recorded in the Mercedes maintenance booklet during the stewardship of the first owner, and this tradition was carried forward with the second owner, an engineer from North Scottsdale, Arizona. The second owner acquired the SL in 1992 and pampered it for the next 23 years. The care is evident in the service receipts and excellent condition of the cosmetics and mechanicals. There is NO RUST or evidence of previous rust repair or body trauma, which testifies to its Southwestern heritage. The interior of this SL is far above average. I have never experienced a comparable, original interior in any SL . . . ever! The seats are excellent and show minimum or no wear as does the rest of the interior. The dash is pristine and original. No cracks or aftermarket dash cap. All 4 tires were replaced in 2015 and have less than 1000 miles. The soft top was replaced this year and is accompanied by the factory hard top, in excellent condition. Also included with this Mercedes is the original tool roll, owner's manual, maintenance booklet, metal tag, and other pertinent Mercedes Benz literature. The master key (with red dot) as well as three spares come with the car. The Mercedes Benz factory theft alarm still functions. A CarFax, available of request, shows no evidence of prior accidents, confirms the mileage and Southwestern provenance and lists several maintenance services. The extraordinary care and love this car has received is well documented and supported by receipts totally more than $8000 (including new brake rotors and pads, complete front suspension rebuild, new soft top, oil change service, new radiator, tires, etc. ) over the past 2 years. A note to our friends abroad. This is the ONLY year 560sl that currently qualifies for a reduced import duty in most European Countries.
