I am happy to answer any questions about the bike BEFORE YOU BID. Up for auction is a 2010 Triumph Thunderbird 1600 from my personal collection. I've owned it for 2 years and had big plans for it. Truth is, I just have too may bikes and this one has only seen a few hundred miles in that time. Now my free storage space is going so I've decided to sell it rather than pay $300-400 a month to store it. This area has ridiculous storage costs. That being said, this is a awesome machine and I will miss it. The things I really like (in no particular order) are: A super broad torque curve, this thing pulls like crazy from 1500-5000. Would give my fully built 107 inch Softail a run for the money in a Stoplight Gran Prix! Smooth ride and goes where it's pointed. controls require relatively little effort. Brakes are incredible. One of those bikes that looks fantastic at any angle. With that massive oversquare parallel twin, there's no other bike like it on the market. The fuel injection system on this bike is second to none in my opinion, dare I say it is flawless? In my opinion, the bike is mechanically and functionally as good as a new one. Needs nothing. Always mature adult owned, never dropped or damaged. Cosmetically, I would say it is very good, better than the year and mileage would indicate. There are a few light scratches here and there that I have tried to picture. There are some rub marks on the sides of the rear fender from throwover bags that were on it. There are some light rub marks on the side of the tank from jeans rubbing it, that's one fat tank! I think these two items could be corrected with a high speed buff. I didn't worry about it as I know this bike is already too shiny for some folk's taste. There are a few pits here and there in the chrome, nothing conspicuous. There is some pitting on the clearcoat on the lower fork legs. I just installed a brand new rear tire yesterday, rode the bike about 40 miles and took these pictures. Also included with the bike is a batwing fairing and some saddlebags that were on the bike when I got it. I didn't care for them and took them off. I will put them back on the bike for the buyer if desired. The last picture shows what they looked like when they were on. I also have the original Triumph zipper portfolio with the owner's manual, tool kit, 2 original ignition keys and 2 steering lock keys. It's a lot of fun, I can tell you that.
