1966 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 convertible. Barn Find...yeah, the term gets thrown around a lot these days, but this car certainly qualifies. The person I bought this from said their family is the original owner, grandma was too old to drive it as she was in her 90's. They didn't have the protect-o-plate. I don't have any doubts though as this car is very well cared for and very clean. This has a very smooth running Oldsmobile V8 425ci Super Rocket motor and a turbo hydra-matic A/T. Yes, it accelerates very much like an Oldsmobile is known for. It is quiet, unassuming but puts you back in your seat as it quickly gets up to speed quickly. This rare 88 came with the following:Power windowsPower convertible topPower brakesPower steeringA/C...this works very well and blows very cold. I assume the mileage of 76,047 to be accurate. The car is too nice for the odometer to have rolled over. This beautiful convertible was bought new in san Fernando valley and spent its entire life here in So Cal. It has the original black plates and there is NO RUST. The exterior is nice and clean in the original color but not the original paint, It was painted several years ago and has some small chips that have been fixed. The paint is nice but not show quality. Interior is very clean, but the door panels have some wear on them is shown in the pics. I would replace them for a clean look if I were to keep the car. The edge of the passenger-side door panel is taped at the corner. The driver side door panel needs repair at the front bottom corner. The dash board and gauges are all original and work except the radio and clock. The dash pad needs repair on the top passenger side. The trunk has been re-finished with carpet all the way around for a very finished look. The convertible top is NEW. The Power Brakes work like NEW and it stops on a dime. This has a NEW convertible top pump. This also has NEW window motors for both rear windows. The undercarriage is as you would expect from a California car. There is no rust and it is straight. I will try to get video if that specifically. This car still has the California smog pump and plumbing connected, which still has "tower clamps" on it in some places. Overall this lovely, rare Dynamic rides very smooth with plenty of power. The Olds 425 Super Rocket motor is known to be one of the best motors that Oldsmobile made. This is a very, very fun car to motor the family around town in, take the family out for ice cream or grab your surfboard and hit the beach. My 5-year old daughter loves driving in this car. Check out the cool wheels on the 88 in the last pic...this is what I would do. My pops is moving so I have to make room at my house to bring some cars back home. I just don't have room for all of them and this is one that I unfortunately have to let go. I will also be selling a #'s matching 67 Firebird 400 A/C 4-speed.
