Up for sale is my 1974 Pontiac Trans Am Super Duty. This piece of Pontiac history is 1 of just 731 automatics produced in 1974. I recently acquired this Super Duty car from its original ( Fort Worth Texas) owner of 42 years. Factory colors are buccaneer red with rare red interior. Factory options included air conditioning, tilt steering wheel, optional custom interior, am fm radio, honeycomb wheels, hood decal, and tinted glass. This car has approximately 117,000 miles, and according to the original owner, the original Super Duty engine was rebuilt at a prominent machine shop, approximatey 15k miles ago. The body on this car retains all of its original panels and has seen just one driver quality repaint. This car has never crashed and was never rusted. All engine components are original including engine block, distributor, cylinder heads, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, and carburetor. The underside of this car has not been undercoated. Red oxide is discovered under its rust free floors. The rear tail pan and frame rails are spotless and are what should be expected from a rust free Texas car. The trunk compartment shows its original splatter paint, retains its original jack assembly, and shows no rust. This car is not a trailer queen nor a first place Trans Am Nationals winner. It is a very original, documented car with great owner history. Supporting documentation includes original sales contract, Pontiac Historic Services docs, original Texas title, original owners manuals, signed affidavit from the original owner, and my current paperwork. I am in the process of acquiring another Trans Am and am offering this car for sale. I was present at the recent Barrett -Jackson auction in Connecticut, and witnessed a red SD car sell for $90,000 plus fees. These cars continue to be one of the hottest collector cars on the market.
