This bike left the factory as a TT and shipped to Johnson Motors. I have attached copy of The Vintage Motor Cycle Club of England certificate showing numbers and ship date. The good news is that the engine has good compression, it has the correct TT head, the transmission shifts through gears, and using an endoscope a peak at the pistons indicate they are correct for the model. One should assume the engine will need to be rebuilt since it has sat for so long. The bike rolls easily when moving it around. Added photo of frame serial. I have received a question about the "TT" indication used on later models. It was not used during the period this bike was manufactured, which is why both the frame and engine are stamped "C." That is why I also requested the certificate from England, just to be clear on the matter. So this is an opportunity to restore a collectible vintage Triumph. The bad news. This bike last was registered in 1984. For the past 30 years it sat in at least two storage areas. The previous owner had a thing for chrome, so a lot of parts have plating that should not. Some of the chrome is good, some fair, some is terrible. Also so after market stuff was bolted on such as fenders, pegs, rear light, etc. The frame appears straight and the rust on it is surface. The tank was plated, but the metal is solid, no weak spots. Some of the vintage bolt on stuff could be used for other projects. The carbs are wrong. I cut the wiring off because it was a mess. So consider buying this as a project that could result in you owning a rare motorcycle. You will have to put time and money into it, but you won't know too many people that have one. No warranty. No Return. Will ship most places that buyer arranges. Bike needs to be picked up at my location. I will also take the bike to the Salt Lake City shipping dock. Ask questions before bidding.
