It's previous life was used as an ICEE delivery van in New Mexico, it's a 1 company vehicle and has not seen road salt. This is a monster build and a perfect platform for a camping/expedition vehicle, a mostly blank canvas for you to build out your dream truck. We've done the hard work, bulletproofed the motor, arp head studs, tons of new gaskets, sinister egr cooler, oil cooler done, and new injectors with 2 year warranty. It has a new very heavy duty custom low profile roof rack and a removable 3 passenger Sprinter bench for seating for 5 with side access window. The 4x4 conversion is a new coil spring setup on a 2010 Superduty front axle with 3.55 gearing for optimum fuel economy; complete build is new and totally gone through, can not be compared to a 9 year old conversion. The truck will pull anything you want, it's comfortable to drive, looks super mean and is road ready for your use just as is, or for a base to build out a wild camper. exterior The paint and body on this van are in very nice shape. It came in with faded decals on both sides and the hood which were consequently re-shot in base/clear. Pre-paint photos available on request. The paint has nice gloss and we removed the door handles when doing the job to minimize overspray, hardly any filler if at all was used. The doors all open and close easily and sliding door clears rear tire and side ladder fine. The windshield is new, bumpers are straight and trim is fine. We replaced the grille after the photos, it was bubbling a bit. The wheels are Ford factory 20" wheels, aftermarket higher off-set 285 70 17s and wheels from Discount Tire are available with an $800 credit if you'd like to choose something else. This will require modification of the sliding door hinge which we have experience with. The right rear wheel has a ding, but it doesn't affect ride or structural integrity of wheel. The roof rack is new, done to be very rigid and it adds a reasonable 150lbs total to the van, so not too top heavy. We build low profile roof racks for these so you don't catch everything in the trees out on the trail. interior The interior is clean overall and has been detailed. It had a divider in it that we removed, seating is in good shape and was pressure washed/dried thoroughly before re-installation. The stereo works sometimes and other times does not, it's internal. If you want something fancy we can work on the system for you. The air blows cold and everything including cruise works. The rear seat is from a Dodge Sprinter with low mileage and it's removable with basically flush mount floor brackets. It's a heavy seat, easier for 2 people to do, but shoulder belts and cupholder are built in, we like the seat. The side window is new and has a tilt out lower vent. We do the fitment and our glass company does the install, so these things never leak. The cargo space has had the wall paint touched up, it's pretty tidy back there, but you could spend a little more energy if you want it to look brand new. mechanical This van has had the following done: new Ford OEM head gaskets, ARP head studs, oil cooler gaskets and o-rings, intake gaskets, turbo install kit and gaskets, sinister egr cooler with oem new gaskets/rings, new oil cooler with oem gaskets and rings, new stand pipes, dummy plugs, valve cover gaskets, new glow plugs (8), stc fittings and gaskets, and all new injectors that come with a 2 year warranty through the manufacturer. The oil pressure sensor was done and upper and lower oil pan gaskets. The only gasket/seal that was not replaced was the cradle sealant. It's in the middle of the engine and a bear to do. This particular gasket is seeping just a bit, leaves a drop every once in a while. Our cost is roughly $2000 to replace it if you're interested, but It's pretty minimal and being a van that's getting used, I don't see it being the end of the world. We're very up front about everything and dont like surprises. The 4x4 conversion is extensive and new. We utilize a 4 link setup in front with all new hardware and bushings. It's quite overbuilt. We feel they generally drive better than some of the other brands that utilize the truck trailing arms. The axle is from a 2010 superduty and has 3.55 highway gears for best highway economy. With the motor gone through and so many new parts this van pulls very hard, more power than you should need. It maintains the factory emissions system and should pass anywhere including California where they're picky about the egr stuff. The van has a new sway bar, sway bar links, track bar, inner tie-rod, new custom drive-shafts, new front brakes and calipers, brake lines, new abs sensors, 4 new Monroe premium shocks, stabilizer shock from Ram 5500 and LED indicator for 4WD. It has a 5" rear lift and front with progressive rate econoline springs rather than the truck springs some of the other guys are using that ride like garbage. It's been aligned and drives well, ball joints are about 1/2 life, should be fine for a while yet. We charge $650 for new ball joints if you want them done preventatively. Our vans come with a 30 day warranty for local residents and a 6 month warranty for all parts modified in the 4x4 conversion. In the event that an out of state buyer has an issue, we're very kind about doing whatever we can to help, but that rarely happens.
