A beautiful example of the later version of the 1800 E. Professionally maintained by Volvo mechanics and the deceased former owner who restored the car with a meticulous eye. A former Naval officer and practicing attorney, he kept every document and check pertaining to the restoration of his favorite thing, the Volvo 1800 E, and he enjoyed the interaction of other Volvo owners at car shows and driving events. The engine was replaced with a professionally rebuilt unit however the original engine is included with the car purchase as does several spare parts such as a grill surround and insert, the old air conditioning unit, several misc. used parts and many records of purchases and repairs during restoration. The car comes with a detailing kit, spare and tools just like he left it after his last car show. This is an older somewhat ongoing restoration but the remaining items appear minor and do not hinder the cars driving ability, you can make it your own and drive it at the same time. The paint and body are very nice except for the minor dent mentioned above, the upholstery is in very nice condition but could use a few small repairs as mentioned above and detailing as the car has sat for the better part of 2 years. The tires and brakes appear to be good and the car steers and stops well. I have drained and replaced the fuel, oil and coolant, the belts and hoses appear flexible and serviceable. Although the cars odometer shows over 520,000 miles many moving parts of the car were rebuilt or replaced at restoration giving the car a new life at that time.
