1979 Ford Mustang Indianapolis 500 Pace Car. SUPER SUPER ORIGINAL AND UNMOLESTED. Original TRX wheels and Michelin tires. Tires are bad. Car has been in covered storage since 1993. Inspection slips in car verify mileage as correct. Car was parked in 1993 and not moved or started until a month ago. So far car has had fuel tank cleaned, new fuel pump installed and car does run. Leaks fuel from around sending unit. Sending unit was removed when tank cleaned and new seal and lockring installed. Must have pinched the gasket. I want to make this clear, it started, ran, tried to idle. I ran a total of about 10 mins. It does not knock and holds excellent oil pressure. It does move when clutch is released. It has NO BRAKES. New master cylinder is included. Want to also make this very clear. IT HAS NOT BEEN ON ROAD SINCE 1993. YOU CANNNOT DRIVE IT HOME. IT MUST BE TRANSPORTED. Now that all of that is out of the way. Here are the super good things about the car. All paint and decals look original. Decals are not faded and look very good for its age. Louvers and foglights are original. Body is very good as is the paint for a car its age. Interior is in great shape for its age but needs to be cleaned badly. Recaro seats are all there and in very good shape. One very small wear spot on drivers side shown in pictures. Only thing I can find that is not original on the car is the radio. It is a two knob Jensen and did not cause the dash to be cut. Please remember that this car is a 1979, it was parked in 1993 in covered storage and has not been on the road since, it is 2016. 23 years it has been parked. PLEASE REMEBER THIS.
