ENGINE HYDRO LOCKED! NEEDS ENGINE OR ENGINE REPAIR! Up for sale is a 2011 BMW 535 X-drive... this car was driven too fast through water on the road and sucked some up into the engine damaging a connecting rod. We bought this car from the insurance company and we have done no work to it, therefore we don't know the extent of the engine damage. In our experince engines that get hydro locked can usually be repaired with a new connecting rod and piston. However sometimes the block can also be damaged if the rod bent to far or broke. Once again WE DON'T KNOW THE EXTENT OF THE ENGINE DAMAGE. Everything else seems to working properly, the vehicle powers up, fuel pump runs and the starter tries to crank the engine. The carpets are dry and the car has no wet or musty smell. The body does have a few minor dents & scratches which we showed in the photos. Also the front marker light is missing, ( probably broken while being towed). Also the right front tire has a slow leak,( see photos)...The car is loaded navigation, leather ect...If your want a complete list of all the options please call the BMW DEALERSHIP.
