Up for sale is our shops race bike. This bike was professionally built and raced by the team at The Daily Rider. We campaigned this bike for the last 4 years at the USCRA road race series in New England. This bike along with our amazing racer have won many many races and took the class championship for the two years in a row. Originally the bike started out as a 72 CL350 but over the years there have been many upgrades which we will list. 1. Stripped frame and seam welded the entire chassis for more strength 2. Upgrade front end with taper steering bearings and SL35mm forks 3. Front wheel is a Suzuki T500 hub that has been modified for strength then custom shoes turned on a lathe the fit. Creating a very effective front brake. The hub was then laced to a new alloy rim with Buchanan spokes 4. Tires are Avon race tires front and back 5. Progressive suspension on the rear 6.520 chain and sprocket conversion 7. All body work is custom fiberglass work from Tannermatic and professionally painted 8. Motor runs stock cam and carbs 9. Pistons are the Todd Henning high compression set 10.Ignition is the Todd Henning magneto kit 11. Cylinder head was gas flowed and rebuilt with stock valves and fresh seats 12. Clutch has the heavy Duty plates and springs 13. Jemco exhaust 14. Motobits rear sets On top of all the mods and performance parts put in the this bike our crew has put many many hours in tuning on our in house Dyno. All the setting on this bike are very well tuned together, from our sprocket choice to carb jetting to our ignition timing and fuel grade. All together you are looking at a very well put together CB race bike. As a disclaimer we want to emphasize "race bike". This also means that this bike has been ridden to the limit and worked hard. It has been down once or twice so there are some scrapes here and there. Through the course of a season we have struggled with head gasket leaks and have often had to replace a head gasket once in a season. Currently we are using a copper head gasket. 2 options for moving forward on this issue is to use "wellseal" on all copper head gaskets. Or to use the better fiber head gasket from Boretech. Either way you are buying a race ready and back to back championship winning CB race bike. Total receipts on this bike are well past 8,000. We know we are not going to get that back so our loss is your gain. The reason for selling is we are moving to a new shop and the expenses have taken there toll so we our trimming the fat from our race budget. Last season we planed the head down and installed the better fiber gasket and have not had a head gasket issue since.
