1969 Buick Skylark

California vehicle from day one, original paint, interior etc. I bought this car last fall, I had a black/white one in high school, I blew the engine the first night I had it, then smashed it up a few months later, I was 16 ! I have quieted down quite a bit ! ( 40 years ago ) I had been searching for a good rust free car and did I get a nice one ! My plan was to turn it into the one I had but after looking it over there is no way I could alter this fine original example, it needs to be in the hands of someone who wants it the way it is, color etc. I bought it from an individual who obtained it from the original owner who has passed away and apparently bought it off the showroom floor in 1969 in Chico California. I don't think it has any paint touch ups, it is quite weathered on the trunk lid and hood but looks quite nice overall outdoors. It recently had the vinyl top replaced ( well done ) only due to vinyl deterioration. The car has no corrosion, nothing at all. I am a long time Buick guy and was concerned it may still have nylon timing gear teeth so I pulled the front cover and yes it did. A few teeth had already got into the pan so it was wise I did this. New timing set etc installed and all is in good order. It runs so well, drives like a dream. The block has no vin on it, don't know that story, all other numbers match, it is a 400 block, it looks as though it has never been out but being so old , its hard to say. Everything works well, lots of tiny door dents, scratches and so on, but again it is a rare unpainted survivor and looks quite nice. I think most of the exhaust may be factory, has spiral shocks still, looks like very little has ever been done/changed.
