I am the original owner and this has been my second car for a loooong time. I typically drive it when my other one is in the shop or in the snow. It needs some items repaired on it now that I am not willing to do and that's why I am selling it. I have heard that these engines are rock solid so there may be some items you can use or if you are handy it can be fixed somewhat easily. Up for sale is a 1995 Dodge Stratus that I am selling as is, not in drivable condition. It will start fine but I will not let you drive it out because the brakes are the big issue.Details: I will start with what is wrong with it.The big one is the brake line to the rear brakes have given out. That's why I will not let you drive it. You can hear the leak when you press on the brakes and it does not want to stop.The radiator fan has a high and low setting. The high no longer works. I tried replacing the fan but that was not it. It has not overheated so maybe it's not necessary but I would be cautious on a 100 degree day and traffic.The A/C works, it's just not as cool as it used to be.The Muffler has holes in it so it sounds more like a V8 than a 2.0. The muffler is a lifetime from Chrysler but those pipes leading down to it are not under warranty.The car has sat a lot so it can probably use a tune up and belts and hoses need to be checked. I took good care of it though.There is a bang in the front driver quarter (pictured) Someone hit the car when it was parked on the street. I chose not to have it repaired as it is cosmetic only.There is rust near the underside, both sides of the car (pictured again). It has never been in a road accident except for the mentioned incident. The odometer reads 40800. One day years ago I know the car had somewhere between 40000 and 50000 miles on it and then the next day it had just 10000. I could never find out what happened, not like it had been in the shop or anything. I can safely say the car has somewhere between 70000 and 80000 miles. It never did that thing again.The trunk open switch does not work, you have to use the key. Here is what is right. This car has always started, hot or cold weather and it will start for you. The transmission/clutch still seems solid, I was driving it just two weeks ago. The tires are top of the line quality and have a lot of tread left. Probably only 10000 miles on them. If you have a similar model you would do well just to buy the car for the tires. Hopefully you find more you like though. Suspension seems strong. I had the front brakes done last year, so they are practically new. The cassette, automatic door locks, windows, switches, lights, all that works. One of the speakers might need repair. I have the spare tire, unused. The interior is pretty good. I always used the floor mats but there are a few spills on the floor. Seats look good. I had the front windshield fixed two years ago from a rock chip. The view is crystal clear.This car definitely needs a cleaning, inside and out. I washed the front quarter and door for the photo so you can see the actual quality but the last time I drove it was on a salt snow day and it did not tell me the brakes were going to break that day. Regarding payment I have set paypal for the deposit, and the rest in cash. I could also arrange all to be invoiced on paypal ahead of time. I'm not really interested in cashier's checks or money orders. That seems to be all but feel free to ask me any questions.
