Vehicle Detail
Greetings to all my ebay friends! Up for sale is my toy of nearly six years, my first and so far only Z28. Like many kids of the nineties, I certainly couldn't afford one back in high school, a fact that caused me not a little vexation at the time. These things just seemed so incredibly cool, especially compared to their boxy Gen III predecessors. Fast forward to 2010. I had just moved to Florida when a friend offered up his wife's old Camaro. I would have much preferred a 6spd, but this one was a good deal, it had T-tops, was white (one of my favorite colors for the Camaro) and was here, so I went for it. The car was originally bought by my friend's wife's first husband in Michigan. She ended up getting it in the divorce and relocated with it to Northern Kentucky where it remained until 2010. Some time in 2009 she overheated the original engine, which got replaced by a Jasper reman, which currently has by my estimation less then 10,000 miles on it. Not long after I bought it, the fuel pump quit. I had it replaced professionally and properly with the rear axle being dropped (no access panels cut), at that time the rear shocks were replaced as well. I also put in a new starter, alternator, battery, new Optispark distributor, plugs, wires, filters, front brakes, brand new set of Firehawk Indy 500 tires. What it still needs depends on what you want to do with it. Both cats look pretty rotten, so it will need those. The A/C compressor is shot. Both front seats need reupholstered as well as the headliner needs replaced. The scuff on the rear fender by the fuel door was there when I bought it. I do have a replacement fuel door (in white). Check engine light comes and goes. Car is currently registered and insured, we drive it a few times a month. It seems to have recently developed somewhat of a skip, I haven't looked into it yet, otherwise runs good. Shifts good, stops good. If you're looking for serious transportation, this is not it. If you're looking for a show-quality Camaro, this is not it. This is a plaything, something to use as an excuse to hide from the wife/girlfriend in the garage with your tools and your beer. I can see this being turned into a bracket racer, or a father/son project or something along those lines. I'm selling it mostly because I need the garage space, although knowing me, I'll probably just use the money to pick up another basket case. What can I say, this is an illness, and I have it. Reserve is set low, so bid early and bid often. Message me with any questions. Car sold as is where is. A deposit of $500 is due via Paypal within 48 hours of auction end, the remainder by cash or Cashier's Check within 7 days. Shipping (if necessary) is the responsibility of the buyer. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!
