Vehicle Detail

This car has had a LOT done to it mechanically, and most of the hard work has already been done. This is an all original Oklahoma car, with numbers matching 235 6cyl. engine with a 3-spd manual transmission. List of things that have been done include (but not limited to): The 235 BLUE FLAME motor has been completely rebuilt by Jackson Machine (WITH RECEIPT) here in Oklahoma and has 0 miles since rebuild. It comes with new crankshaft (old one included if you want it), camshaft, pistons, rods, pushrods, all bearings replaced, all machine work including: decked block, motor mounts, intake and exhaust manifold has been bead blasted, checked for cracks and machined for true flatness on mounting sides. The engine block was baked, then bead blasted to remove all paint, rust, grease etc.The cylinder head has been FULLY machined, stainless intake and exhaust valves added with hardened exhaust seats for today's Ethanol fuel. Also has new springs, retainers, locks and seals for the valves. The engine also has a new fuel pump, water pump, as well as a rebuilt original distributor that has a new installed Pertronix electric ignition conversion. (REAL PERTRONIX KIT, NOT IMITATION!)Rebuilt original 1bbl carb. The carb has been sitting on the shelf for a while, but I will include a new sealed kit with the car in case you need it later. I also have an original oil bath air cleaner for it in the trunk, and a new battery tray has been installed. The transmission has been overhauled (stripped, cleaned, checked for cracks, painted etc) and has new seals and fluid. It also has new transmission mounts and linkage has been restored up to the shift column on steering box.Comes with a deluxe full front end rebuild kit (see pictures) as well as a full brake rebuild kit with NEW, not remanufactured brake shoes, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, and a deluxe master cylinder rebuild kit (see pictures). Brakes are currently not locked up--just went out from sitting in garage during engine rebuild. The front and rear floors have been replaced with correct stamped steel floor panels from Classic Chevy and the entire floor board on the inside has been painted with POR-15 black rustproof paint. Also included are NEW door / ignition lock and switch with new NOS style keys.Brand new gas tank installed as well as a new pickup and sending unit. (I'm also including an extra NEW pickup and sending unit for a spare)YES, the gas gauge DOES WORK as well as the rest of the gauges and speedometer. I'm missing the radio.I started restoring the dash with correct Inca silver paint and gloss black lacquer, but it needs finished.Exterior wise this car was originally sky blue and white 2-tone, and was painted red in 1982 before it was put in storage in 1986 until 2013 when I bought it. It still has it's original rocker panels, and has survived a lot of the rust damage these cars get. I checked the fender rockers as well as door rockers when I bought it with a magnet, and it stuck strong. There was a little ding in the back driver side fin where the old lady that owned this car had a minor ding backing it out of the garage that was fixed when it was painted in 82. The guy I bought it from dug out the bondo to show me the repair. The car has a set of wide whitewall Coker tires and about 75-80% tread left. I bought these separate used and put them on the car in 2013. The grill bar is not original and is in GREAT condition with no cracks or breaks, and also has new signal lamp lens, as well as new tail light lens. The car is currently not drivable, but just needs putting back together. The engine needs the carb installed, and new battery to start. I have not been in the rear end, but it functioned fine before I parked it to rebuild the engine. There is a little rot in the trunk floor that needs fixed, but no bad braces, just a little weak sheet metal. The car also needs weatherstrip, new interior, and some wiring work. This car is a project and still needs some work, but will make someone a GREAT dependable ride when finished. This car is being sold as is with no warranties expressed or implied. I can store the car for up to 1 month maximum in a climate controlled garage for free. The car has been garaged since it has been in my possession. THE ONLY REASON I'M SELLING IS BECAUSE I'M MOVING OUT OF STATE AND CANNOT TAKE IT WITH ME or I'd keep it and finish it. Car comes with a clear Oklahoma title in my name, as well as most receipts for parts. I again do of course have receipts for the motor rebuild. If you have any questions, do please ask! I will answer as soon as I can. Thanks for reading, and have a splendid day.
