Nice, mechanically excellent Porsche 944. 130,000 original miles. These 944's are not as rare as other Porsche models but finding one that is mechanically sound in every way is rare. Buy this 944 and drive it; no repairs needed. Here is a list of items done to the car in the past year. New AC system (134A), new front suspension (ball joints, tire rod ends, struts), rear shocks, BF Goodrich tires, front seat upholstery, custom mats, major tune, New Hella driving lights. Timing belt, water pump replaced by previous owner at 100,000 miles. Everything works including the original clock. Dry California car with original owner until 2011. I am the third owner. Cosmetically this little Porsche is a 7 out of 10. It wears the original paint which is in good shape for the age of the car. It does have stone chips on the front and side mirrors. There is a chip on the front fender and a scratch on one of the doors. No rust or body damage. The interior looks great. Original carpets are nice, door panels are excellent. I reupholstered the front seats and added a custom dash pad cover. The dash does have 3 small cracks. This little 944 runs great and shifts perfectly. A blast to drive. On Mar-18-16 at 17:15:35 PDT, seller added the following information: This 944 was born with power assist steering. The original owner hated the power assist and converted it to manual steering like was offered on 1983 and earlier 944's. I agree with the original owner that the non power assist is more in keeping with the feel of the road that you expect from a sports car. The original owner picked up the car in Stuttgart, Germany as part of the "Delivery in Europe" program and drove it on vacation before he shipped it back to Cupertino, CA. where he lived. I do have all the original manuals as well as the electric air pump, caution triangle, and first aid kit that came as original equipment in the 944. Pump works great.
