For sale is my MR2 Spyder with approx. 89K miles. I have owned it for roughly a year, and it runs great. One or more of the previous owners has added an aftermarket rollbar, wheels, K&N air filter, header & exhaust. Other than that, the car is basically stock. I bought this car because I have always liked mid-engine cars, but have ended up investing way too much money trying to fix up older mid-engine cars like Porsche 914's and Fiats. I figured I'd try buying a Toyota and see what the reliability and performance were like. After owning this car for a year, the only issue I have had is that I replaced all the struts with KYB's all around. These cars are reliable, fun, and good looking. Being that it is 16 years old, it does have a few paint chips, and a little wear and tear, but it is in really great shape. The only cost I see in the near future will be new tires. Other than that, it is good to go. I recently replaced the air filter with a brand new K&N as well. I absolutely love the car, but I am selling it in order to buy a truck or van to go back into business for myself. It's hard to carry a ladder in one of these things. Full disclosure....the only thing I DON'T like about this car is that it is only a 5 speed. They should have come with a 6 speed from the factory.....the result is that you are running around 4K RPM at about 80 mph.....it's something you get used to, but seems like you should be shifting one more time....this is normal....it just seems odd. I do owe some money on the vehicle, so a bank will be involved in the transaction, but I am not upside down in it or anything like that.
