Vehicle Detail
This classic 1978 Fiat 124 Spider convertible is a great collectors vehicle. I purchased it in 2006 and invested in its restoration over the past decade. It's a fun car to zip around town in! I'm moving to a new town and have decided to let this car go :( Many upgrades have been installed and the motor is strong with only 96k miles. It's been a fun project car for me and I would love to see it go to an enthusiast of these increasingly rare roadsters! All mechanical & electrical components are functioning. Recent upgrades include: -Brand new aluminum racing radiator $600-Brand new electronic ignition $600-Brand new high performance carburetor (larger than stock carb, more power) $650-Brand new emissions equipment (including new muffler & a new catalytic converter, hoses, belt) $500-Brand new timing belt $50-Brand new ball joints (all 4 sets replaced) $300-Brand new ignition switch $150-Brand new convertible top $300-Brand new dashboard (top) $200-Brand New Tires $400-Brand new alternator $150-Brand new water pump $75-Recently serviced (oil change, timing, spark plugs, fluids topped, radiator flushed and re-filled) $300 The vehicle has no oil leaks. All valves have recently been serviced and all engine gaskets have either been checked, serviced or replaced in the last year. Car starts up every time even after periods of not being driven. The car is slightly lowered which gives it a sporty look. It has been kept in a covered carport with a car cover here in Encino, CA where I live. There are typical signs of wear on the vehicle but overall the car exhibits very well. I get stopped on the street all the time by inquisitive onlookers. It has some typical wear you would expect from a 40 year old car. It has minor scratches, some glaze cracks in paint (which have been filled), wear on seat bottoms and other normal signs of wear here and there. Nearly any replacement part (both mechanical or cosmetic) can be found at VICK AUTO SPORTS. Over the past few years I have seen vintage Fiat Spiders from this era that have been fully restored sell for prices between $15,000-$20,000 and ones comparable to mine sell for $6,000-$12,000. With Fiat re-issuing the spider next year, these vehicles will become even more collectible and valuable. Please note the yellow exterior color is not the stock yellow as the vehicle was repainted with a deeper tone by the previous owner. Feel free to message me with any questions you may have. Buyer can ship vehicle at his/her own expense to any continental USA location. THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO GRAB A GREAT CLASSIC CAR!
