This bike has been in constant maintained condition its whole life. This was not a farm/ranch or gravel road bike. This bike is from a small Iowa town and was used as a commuter bike by one family. The bike is a first year US model CB125S with a build date of 8/72 and a title date of 1973. Vin# CB125S1025046. This bike runs like new and has zero oil leaks or smoke. There is no weeping or leaks ever from anyplace. There are no damaged fins or stripped bolts on motor. Starter kick shaft looks new. Starts easily and runs smooth. There are no sputters or any funny business. This bike has good IRC tires with 100 miles and is ready to ride. The exhaust has zero holes, rust or pitting. The exhaust is in A1 condition. The gas tank has zero damage and NO rust on the inside. The tank is flawless clean inside. The tank is also undented but paint shows average wear for vintage. Has a neat patina look. The forks do require new fork boots but do not leak. All cables work smooth and not hard to pull. The bike still has untouched wiring and internal wiring still in bars. The handle bars are not bent or damaged. The grips are also undamaged as the pegs. The bike appears to have never been laid down. The speedo does not bounce, make noise and is not faded. The bike has the original tool kit neatly in its cloth holder in tool storage. The rims are not rusted or pitted. The spokes are also not rusted or pitted and are all tight. The bike has a nice ride and not sloppy. The seat will require a recover but the pan is excellent with no rust. The seat foam is also not damaged. The fork ears are nice and undamaged with no pitting. The side covers do have cracks but stay on the bike well. They could be repaired for a resto or left as is. This bike runs and rides very well and is a rare early model with really good bones only requiring a minor cosmetic restore with no mechanical needs required. Bike runs excellent and has a fresh tune up, Oil, Air filter, spark plug, valves adjusted, points set and cleaned/adjusted carb. This would make a excellent cool vintage driver, easy resto or café racer project. This is a very nice running rider or easy project. Its getting hard these days to find a unmolested, original and undamaged early CB125S. Most these bikes were used and abused in the last 40 years and often spent time as "dirt bikes". This bike needs nothing mechanical and only minor cosmetic issues. This bike has plenty of power and runs smooth. The title is clear and in my name and ready to transfer.
