Vehicle Detail

Selling my family's Grand Wagoneer. Bought as leftover in 1985, the elderly owner could no longer drive in 1986, parked in garage until his wife finally got her drivers license in 1995...and only drove errand runs to village for 18 years before stopped driving at 90. Definitely not perfect as she has fair amount parking lot dings, rubber and vinyl trim aging, leather cracks, carpet staining, etc. Undercoated from factory with factory trailer hitch. Undercarriage is near perfect condition, unbelievable for a 32 year old car...just look at photos. The only rust is some kind of bolt on skid plate for the fuel tank, but nothing with the chassis or floor. Looks like water trapped inside NYS Safety Inspection good thru 2017. $4k invested in 2015 or general repairs/replacements. Engine runs smooth and strong. Original Transmission and transfer case was professionally rebuilt with HD shift kit specifically for towing Spring 2015(took a monthfor them to do since no cores available locally). We tried towing with it last year for 1st time ever and she was able to tow 4000lb trailer no problem. In past year we installed new steering gear, heater core, radiator hoses, thermostat, blower, bluetooth stereo, ignition module, plugs, wires, distributor cap n rotor; remanufactured motorcraft carburetor, air injection tubes and check valve, motor mount. The exhaust/catalytic convertor replaced 3years ago; headliner and carpet was redone over decade ago but still very good. All the SMOG emission controls are in place and presumably functioning since its always had to pass inspection ( air injector pump, injection tubes, hosed, check valves, catalytic convertor). Replaced all the door window weather-stripping glass scrapers and for tailgate window too. It is currently on road, driven weekly, and is insured with an agreed replacement value of $25,000.00. The bad...just minor age related issues with unrestored, but in very good shape classic. The 6yr old tires starting show a little dry rot, door locks sometimes stick, a couple windows are slow, ac needs recharging, engine drips a little, seat belts dont always work, and instrument panel gauges aren't completely accurate, etc.
