I am moving and it is time to sell my concours 1974 Opel Manta Rallye. Here is the story on why I invested over 35k in an Opel. When I was a 16 year old kid looking on used car lots for my first car I saw a one year old green Opel Manta Rallye on the floor of Gould Buick in New Rochelle, NY. It was love at first sight. I babied and pampered that car for years eventually trading it back to Gould Buick for some disco cruiser when that forgettable chapter in my life occurred. Later in life I owned or own many high end automobiles from real AC Cobras, a Ford GT40, countless Hemi cars, and many others too numerous to list. 40 years later I still yearned for a perfect Opel Manta. After an exhaustive search I came up empty. There were no true concours restored Mantas in existence. So I researched who was the premier Opel restoration shop and found New Vintage Auto in TN. They had exactly the car I had as a kid. This 1974 Opel Manta Rallye in Opel Jade Green Metallic with air conditioning, automatic, sunroof, etc. It was the spitting image of my old car. So i commissioned a no expense spared restoration with every NOS part available. That was 5 years ago. Since then the car has been driven under 100 miles and has been in a climate controlled environment with AC cobras, Hemis, and more.... So if you want something different to drive or show this is an instant trophy winner and attention getter. It would take you years and too much money to duplicate this car not to mention you would never find the nos parts. I already did the work for you.
