Vehicle Detail
1949 Ford F-6 239 Cubic Inch Flathead V Eight 100 Horsepower at 3800 rpm. Four speed transmission with a 2-Speed rear end. 10 Foot x 7’8” steel bed. New tires. Max gross weight 15,500#s, GTW 28,000#s. Bed has a pintel hook, ball, gooseneck, and slots for a Reese fifth wheel hitch, as well as steel eye bolts for towing. Work spot lights along with red rotating lights on bed. Functional turn signals. Large trumpet horns. Vintage 49 Texas truck plates. Nut wrench and breaker bar. Vacuum Power-operated hydraulic brakes. New interior. Nonskid coating on steps. Starts up first time and runs very smooth and quiet. Low miles. Boom with WARN M12000 Winch. 12,000# pulling capacity. Remote control with 12’ lead, 125’ of 3/8 wire rope. (Retail value of winch $1500.) Neat truck with functional applications. Garaged. Drives really nice. Performs and looks like a one year old as opposed to 66 year old. Delivery can be arranged for a fee. I believe that the odometer is the original mileage, 17232. I would be happy to take it to a local mechanic of your choice for an appraisal or talk to you about the truck personally. 512-868-6526In addition the truck has new front spindles, tie rod ends, wheel seals, new rear axle gaskets, new brake shoes and new brake cylinder kits all around, rebuild master cylinder, radiator core boiled and rodded, rebuilt water pumps, new radiator hoses and heater hoses, rebuilt fuel pump and carburetor, new seals on the doors and windows (wind wing seals have been cleaned and revitalized) new interior, new mirrors, bed frame is 4" square tube, rebuilt clutch and pressure plate, new muffler and tailpipe, plugs, wires , points, condenser, rotor and coil. This doesn't complete the list, but you get the idea. There probably is not a nicer 49 F-6 out there. The heater and air intake are complete and without rust. If there is any rust on these vehicles the air intake is the first to show it, and one of the hardest things to find.If you would like any other photographs, I would be happy to provide them.
