Vehicle Detail
This 1984 Honda CT110 is in very nice to excellent cosmetic condition and has obviously never lived outside. Both fuel tanks are clean inside. I recently spent $600 dollars on some maintenance and repair items (see photos of receipt); however, the new owner will still need to address a few remaining issues. The headlight bucket is cracked which you can see in one of the photos. There is a small flaw on the seat. The choke lever is broken but still functional. The tires should probably be replaced, though the front did receive a new tube and rimstrip. The downtube/skidplate is missing. I do have a pretty nice used one I thought would fit, but my mechanic advised me that it doesn't clear the CDI cover. The fork tubes are pitted and will need to be repaired or replaced -- a pretty common issue on these bikes as I understand it, though I did have the forks seals replaced while the forks were apart. I had my mechanic inspect the cylinder head because the motor was smoking when I bought this last year, and he removed any carbon deposits, replaced all the gaskets, replaced the CDI base oil seal and the exhaust valve stem oil seal, but unfortunately the motor still smokes. The mechanic advised me that the bike will need a full valve job at some point. Also, it appears the float valve is worn as the carb will leak gas if you don't turn the petcock off. So I have decided to not put any more money into this bike, but to sell it. Despite the issues, the bike starts easily and runs. Someone who is handy with these simple little machines should have no trouble getting it fully up to speed. And so, because the bike does still need further repairs, I am offering it here with a $899 opening bid with no reserve. It will sell to the high bidder. As you can see, it's in pretty outstanding cosmetic condition, has low miles, and is definitely worth doing the needed repairs. A lot of these Trails that get listed probably have their own list of problems that don't get mentioned, but I always think it's best to make a full disclosure of any issues to the best of my ability. Below is a list some of the work that was recently done to the bike, so some of these items will definitely save you having to address them down the road - New petcock. New front brake cable. New front tube and rim strip. New spark plug. One new turn signal bulb. New Speedometer cable screw. New Cylinder head gasket. New Exhaust valve stem seal. New valve rocker arm side cover gasket. New CDI base oil seal & base gasket. 2 New Cap nuts. New right crankcase cover gasket. New Clutch outer housing cover screw. 2 new cylinder stud rubber gaskets. New Valve adjust cap o-ring. New fuel lines to carb. Brakes were adjusted. Oil was changed and oil strainer screen was cleaned. I have the clear title in my name in my possession. I can store the bike for up to a month if that makes your shipping arrangements easier -- so long as bike has been paid for. Bike is sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. I will assist your shipper with pick-up however I can. Sales to USA and Canada only. If you have a less than 10 feedback score, you must contact me before bidding or risk having your bid cancelled. Your winning high bid is a contract, so please, do not bid if you don’t have the intent or means to purchase this motorcycle.
