1966 Honda CB

This is a 1966 CB160 barn find. This motorcycle is not road ready, but not far off, does need some TLC. Bike seems 100% original, please check photos for details. Motorcycle runs, but needs tank cleaned. Tank is solid, side panels show some pitting but not horribly. Engine turns over freely with good compression, had the bike running on a temp tank, fires right up with one good kick, and idles ok. Never took out for ride, because I never cleaned tank, shows some rust inside, but definitely cleanable, the petcock was recently rebuilt with new gaskets. There are some new recent maintenance touches here and there but this is how I acquired the bike some time ago and have never really done anything with it. Looks like someone started a restoration somewhat recently, and got it running . The carbs were fairly clean and the timing was dead on, the seat cover appears to be a replacement as it is almost perfect, battery appears to be recently replaced and tests ok, holds charge, there may be a few things that are in need of going through but all in all the bike is complete and does run. Condition is pretty good for a 50 year old bike, some rust and little dings here and there but is very presentable, this is an excellent candidate for an original restoration.
