This is a 2000 S500 with 143,000 miles it is in good shape and runs good. The DMV fees are current and clean title. The "check engine" light goes on for a few days, then goes off for a day or so. The car itself runs and performs great, regardless of whether the light is on. I got the codes read at a my mechanic and they were 0170 and 0173 (to my best recollection). The print out provided indicated that if both of these codes were set at the same time, to suspect a problem with the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
