Vehicle Detail
I have a very solid, 1976 911S Coupe for auction/sale. This is a rust free, California car, recently relocated to Washington State. This 911 came to me in a trade for a custom engine build that I am currently working on. It started out life as a Targa and was converted to a coupe many years ago . While not commonplace, this is not as weird or unusual as it sounds. (search Pelican parts forums for "targa to coupe" conversions) When you could pick up mid-year targas for almost nothing, some were being converted to coupes, to take advantage of the stiffer chassis for track/racing use. (or just due to the personal preference for the coupe body style.)This 911 also has metal SC flares welded on and both of these mods were done very well. Appears to have S calipers, Konis and Bilstiens. It has a nice set of Fuchs 6&7x16. Original paint was silver and it is now a very cool, unknown 10 to 20 footer blue. The interior is black and in decent, use-able condition. It is a 76, so glavanized. that, combined with being a California car resulted in a solid, virtually rust free body. It is currently a great 911 rat rod and although it has its share of nicks and scratches it is solid and really has the right stance and attitude……all the makings of a very cool project. Most that have seen it in person, tell me not to change it, but to drive it as is…..... So, that being said….this is far from being a 911 for the purist and if those details bother you….move on, this is not for you. But, considering the way all 911 prices have taken off…. This will make somebody a nice, entry level 911 and a chance to get into a 911S and make it into a great Porsche hot rod. Turning this 76S into a great canyon carver was my original intent, but I have a 69 that is my primary project and I’ve decided to focus on that……and on custom 911 engine building, etc.So, i am too damn busy building 911 engine to do this one justice..............it is now available for someone else to enjoy............you know you need a good backdate/hot rod 911 project....here it is.!!!! Buyer arranges for shipping, but I will help to ensure that the car is where it needs to be to be picked up, etc.• Payment details• 10% down via paypal within 24 hours of purchase• Remainder to be per bank-to-bank wire transfer, within 5 working days of purchase and prior to the release of the title and vehicle. (Titled as a coupe and the title is clear and in my name)Once the roller is auctioned and payment is secured,,,,buyer has first right of refusal on the following:(price to be negotiated) for those interested:I do have a 915/44 tranny (Correct and likely the original to this 911)as well as a very nice, strong running 74S engine. video of available 1974 2.7S CIS engine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9pFR0GR1wg&feature=youtu.beNote: I build 911 Hot rod engines, so if you are interested in having that 2.7 built into something hotter........... we can work that out too. Please feel free to contact me to discuss……or if you need more pix/details.Regards,al
