This is a 1975 Honda CB750 motorcycle, that is part of the Motorcycle and Model Railroad Museum collection. This is an excellent motorcycle that runs extremely well and has been well-maintained by our staff. We doubt if you will find a better looking and maintained specimen of this year and model, as all of our motorcycles are kept in standard, original condition. This bike has been graded as a condition 3+ by the Vintage Motorcycle Certification Service (1 is the top grade). We are selling it because we have a number of CB750s, and each year, we sell a number of motorcycles which we have duplicates of, so as to raise money for other motorcycles we wish to add to the collection, as well as to raise money for our new building fund! This motorcycle has nice paint, nice chrome, although there are some areas with surface pitting, specifically around the headlight/gauge rings, the tips of the mufflers, and on the bars. We have often eliminated this on some of our bikes with a light polish of steel wool. It starts instantly with the electric start or the kickstarter, and has been maintained to run, recently undergoing a carb clean and tune-up. It has a good battery and new tires. The seat is soft and supple with no tears. The bike handles well and shifts well through all gears. All lights work and function as they should. If you look at the tank, there is a dent on the left side, where it looks like someone pushed there knee too tight up against the tank, but this could easy be removed. We chose to leave it as is and keep the tank and paint original. We would not hesitate to drive it anywhere, and its most recent longer ride was to Milwaukee and back for lunch, right before Christmas! It is stored in climate-controlled, heated facilities, and all bikes here are run at least once a month to make sure they are in tip-top shape. Regular oil changes and fluid/cable maintenance are a must here and done every 1,000-3,000 miles depending on riding conditions. These CB750s are getting very hard to find in nice original condition with original pipes and paintwork! A $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit must be made by pay pal within 24 hours of the sale. The balance is due by CERTIFIED CHECK drawn on a VERIFIABLE U.S. BANK within one week of the sale. We DO NOT take cash at the time of pick up!! We DO NOT take PERSONAL CHECKS or CERTIFIED CHECKS at the time of pick up. We must see that the check clears before pick up may be made. Thus, if we can verify funds with the bank (a phone number for the bank which the check is drawn upon and a name of your bank officer is often helpful in getting things expedited!) we can get this going for you quicker! We will not ship the bike for you! You are responsible for arranging shipping! However, we will be happy to communicate with your shipper and arrange a time that is CONVENIENT FOR BOTH THE SHIPPER AND FOR US for pick up. If you are picking the bike up yourself, we will work with you to find a time that is CONVENIENT FOR BOTH YOU AND US to do a pick up. WE DO NOT OFFER TEST RIDES! Insurance regulations do not allow us to do so. If you ride the bike home, bring your own plate. We do not provide license plates, and you should arrange for your own insurance in advance.
