1964 FORD FAIRLANE 2 Door Post VIN# 4R31F126497 1967 289 cubic inch engine (factory 260 v-8 car), Automatic transmission. This is the very hard to find base model, with the non Fairlane 500 trim package. This specific model was the least produced of all 1964 Fairlane models. This is an original white, red interior car. Body is straight. West Coast vehicle. Born in San Jose Ford plant. Paint is less than 2 years old. It is a very nice high-side driver quality paint and finish. Tastefully done ghost flames. Underside shows no rust other than very minor surface rust. Chrome is all in place. Bumpers are beautiful. All glass is original. Tail Lights have been converted to LED with more modern lenses. Engine is a vintage 1967 289 V-8 with a mild cam and Edelbrock manifold and carburetor. This was a factory 260 V-8 car. I do not have the original engine. Car runs and sounds great. Start every time. Transmission is automatic and functions well. Power steering. No power brakes. Goes down the road straight. New tires all around. Rears wheels are 15" x 7" with Mickey Thompson Street ET tires. Front wheels are 15" x 4.5" with skinny Mickey Thompson tires. Interior is very presentable. Nice original dash. Headliner is okay, but a new red headliner is included with sale. All windows, doors and locks are completely functional. All light work as well. This is a good looking car. It reminds many folks of the legendary Thunderbolt cars.
