Vehicle Detail

I will happily transport on the ferry to the mainland to arrange pickup. Restoration Work - completed approximately 3000 miles ago. -200tdi Diesel rebuilt-S3 fully synchronized rebuilt unit-NO rust on the usual trouble areas with endless "rover chrome" = GALVANIZED bulkhead, chassis, rear cross member, outriggers, battery box, door frames, windshield frames, all capping. -New leaf springs-New Old Man Emu Shocks-New Radiator and hoses-New clutch, mechanical pedal assembly-New fuel tank, gaskets, and lines-New throttle cable-New brakes and lines with Front disc and rear drums-New Exhaust-New Tom Woods custom driveshafts mated to 4.1 gears-Like galvanized rock sliders from Pangolin 4x4-New custom galvanized roll cage-New rims-New custom wiring harness with modern fuse box and NO lucas electronic gremlins -Newer Factory Tires - 5 Michelin XZL-New Paint, matching inside and out. Complete respray. Royal Airfare Blue.Use: This was my daily driver during summer months on Martha's Vineyard. I have put 1,000 trouble free miles (26-28mpg) on her this summer since purchase; my 2013 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon saw less than 150 miles of use this summer. I depend on my car for making 5-10 house calls per day, and this car was an absolute blast to drive and a hit with the clients. I checked and change all fluids regularly. Condition: Fully restored, ZERO rust on chassis, outriggers, footwells, door bottoms, and bulkhead. Mechanically working 100%. -Given the more modern 200tdi and the front disc brakes, the truck will run comfortably at 70mph. I have cruised at 85mph. That said, this was designed in 1955 to be one step better than a farm tractor. Do not expect the ride of a Range Rover.-History: the truck was purchased new in CA in 1955, first registered in 1956, and spent her entire existence on a ranch in Tucson, AZ (zero rust on original doors, bulkhead, chassis). The original dents and dings were not pounded out. The body panels are original but repainted. This is a real truck, not a trailer queen. Reason for sale: I have a 1993 110 restoration project and a 1994 conversion project in the works, both of which I would like to complete over the winter for island work next summer. As such, I need to clear the plate and get to work. PHOTOS: All sections to follow. Title / Reg / Insurance: 100% US original vehicle. This is NOT a grey market truck that was imported recently from the UK. It was sold by Rover in 1956 in Yuba City, California through their dealership to the public. It has the original VIN, clear title, reg, standard insurance and is 50 state legal.
