Vehicle Detail
For sell is my son's 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I bought him this Jeep a few years ago for him to take to college which was located in a mountainous region, known for its tough winter snow conditions. The Jeep was already lifted with a really nice Rock Crawler 4.5 long-arm lift when I purchased it but the original owner had installed the lift kit on his own and clearly didn't know what he was doing so I had it all torn down and redone with new parts (drop pitman arm, track bar, etc.) to get it to align and drive properly. Over the years, due to his three hour commutes when he wanted to come home, I kept the Jeep in tip-top shape, replacing anything that would remotely look as though it might be wearing or needing replacement as I didn't want to expose my son to any risks. Over the past few years, the Jeep has had new brakes, exhaust (Magnaflow catback...sounds great), new BF Goodrich, 33x12.50 all terrain tires (just installed two of the four again in November after someone slashed two of them), axle seals, universal joint seals, alternator, battery, starter, universal joints, fluid flushes, sensors, etc. It has a high-end stereo, amp, kicker panel speakers and subwoofer installed in 2014 and we had the Jeep completely repainted in August of 2014. The Jeep currently has 158K miles and runs excellent with no oil consumption, leaks, check engine lights, etc. The engine runs very well and the transmission shifts very nice and smooth with the transfer case shifting just like its supposed to in order to tackle those traction challenges of winter (or mud). The only reason I'm selling it is that my son is wrapping up his college years and looking for something with better gas mileage as he goes out into the world and has to pay for gas with something other than dad's money. The known issues are:Sagging headliner (if you've had one of these, you know they all sag over time)Power door lock switch doesn't work (haven't had time to sort it out)Power windows all work well from the drivers door switches but don't work individually (again, not sure what might be the gremlin but fortunately its not the window regulators or motors as all the windows function very well)Drivers seat has the typical vinyl cracking on the side (which again, having had five or so of these XJ's over the years, I have yet to find one that doesn't have this)Bubbles of some rust appearing at the bottom of the doors along the seams. Easily repairable, and given the Jeep is black with a relatively new paint job, easy to color match as well. Other than these items, the Jeep should last another 100k miles. It gets constant compliments everywhere we go with it as it looks and sounds outstanding. Please make sure full payment is made prior to arranging for shipment pickup. Any and all shipping arrangements are solely the responsibility of the buyer. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. I've tried covering everything here but I'm sure there is something I might have missed or not thought of in putting this ad together.
