This is a 1973-74 HONDA ELSINORE CR 125M "Tribute" (The 73 ELSINORE is said by many MC Enthusiasts to be the Most Beautiful Production Vintage Dirt Racing Motorcycles Ever Built ...She was Built from a 1976 CR 125M HONDA ELSINORE which is the very Last year for the Factory 1973-76 HONDA MX Racing "Tuned" Down Pipe & the 1976 CR 125 Had nearly 2X MORE SUSPENSION Travel & a Stronger+Better Chassis that ANY YEAR HONDA ELSINORE CR 125M "Prior to 1976" !!! There are Very Few Bikes that have anywhere near the "Natural Stability" & "Balance" & Truly Great Feel that a Vintage HONDA 1973-76 CR ELSINORE Has Which translates to a Racer ...as a Bike that can get you out of nearly any Tricky Situation ..Time, After Time, After Time !!!!!!!!! . (IE) This Bike was Originally Designed & intended by HONDA to race on Privately Owned Professional Moto-Cross Tracks. Which Makes this FAR More Vintage Race-able as this again I think this was the Very last year of the Piston Port Induction AMAZING Air Cooled HONDA ELSINORE CR 125M !!! & I believe these CR 125M to be ..a Very Spirited & I think should be a "A Potentially, Competitive Vintage Racing bike" & I am offering this for a Small Fraction of that amount with a "Buy it Now" (Believe it or Not)...of well under 2K US dollars which may sound like a fair amount of money but consider this...." Everyone I have talked to as (Well as N.A.D.A. Value Guide) states that a Really Nice CR 125M would sell for well over DOUBLE that Amount !! ..Also, Recently, I have seen several of these bikes that were Very Beat & Very Faded Not much left of them ...TOTALLY UN-LIKE THIS AMAZING BEAUTY was just had a cosmetic Restoration had done to her) selling for MORE $$$$ than my Ridiculously Low Buy It Now Price" & again they were ALL UN (NOT) Beautifully Cosmetically Restored like this wonderful Bike, & NOT having almost Brand New tires, New seat etc. etc. etc etc. & again most bikes I have seen in this bikes price range.... looked to be (VERY):Faded (RED IS ONE of THE Easiest colors to Fade & to Break down with UV) they looked Beat, Raw, UN-Cosmetically restored or Rebuilt etc..& More importantly all were UN-(NOT) Beautifully transformed to look like as Nice & Overall were just in no where near As GREAT a Shape as this Beauty! & don't forget this Wonderful bike was in covered Storage for the better part (the Bulk) of it's life (Approx. 20+ years !!!!!!) & you will be the First New Owner since her Wonderful cosmetic restoration as detailed in this auction. More Cosmetic Restoration details:This Vintage Racing 1973 -74 HONDA ELSINORE CR 125M "Tribute" that was made from a 1976 HONDA CR 125M ELSINORE.. (really the Biggest Difference between a 1973 & a 1976 CR 125 is the Suspension has been Extremely Upgraded from HONDA) !!! She has her Original HONDA 1973-1976 ELSINORE CR 125M Factory "TUNED" Low Pipe Exhaust... & She has Her Original Factory HONDA CR 125M seat REBUILT From The FRAME UP !!!. We also Cleaned the Entire Fuel system & added a Quality Inline Fuel Filter, & "We Installed The VERY BEST "MODAL" Trans Mission Oil". The Front and rear suspension visually looked good & it's Suspension seals did not appear to be leaking at this time so other than to clean them & refinished the lower Alloy fork legs , shock etc etc etc (IE) as far as fluid levels etc. they are just as we received them and we have not tested the suspension as we are just now getting the Bike Running again & completing the cosmetic restoration on this Beautiful Bike, Again, We Purchased this Wonderful bike for a Static Display in our VJMC Clubs Booth at the "WORLDS LARGEST M/C Show On EARTH" We did a Very Nice cosmetic Restoration on her..However Again, We did not have time to do anything to the engine other than Clean & Rebuild Her carburetor etc.She has compression & Super GREAT Spark>but,I feel Her Compression would be better W/a new Piston & ring etc.I have not worked with this bike since the Nov. 19-22 -2015 MC show.Other than today we put gas in her to see if she would start,at this point we have not had her running yet. Again, her compression would improve with a new piston+I feel a slight dragy feel so it may be a good idea to hone her iron cylinder while you have her apart..I have many (70+bikes) I am having to Liquidate as we are losing the bulk of our Vintage Bike Storage. She has I believe a Original 125cc HONDA ELSINORE 1973 Style Fuel tank that was extremely clean & Dent free on her outside (as You should be able to see in the included pictures) we repainted her & put Nice 1973 Style Graphics & she looks just like a 1973-4 CR 125M HONDA ELSINORE & added Brand New "VINTAGE" 1973-4 HONDA ELSINORE Tank Graphic's were just installed. We also cleaned, painted & refinished Her; Frame, Hubs, Spokes, Exhaust Pipe (Tuned Exhaust system) & Her Original HONDA CR 125 Down Pipe Exhaust System. We repainted her Nice more 1973 style Front fender & her Original Honda rear fender etc.& we painted everything to match to a look very close to what I think a 1973-74 Vintage RACING CR 125M Tribute Built from a 1976 CR 125 ELSINORE Race bike should look like & or would have looked NEW like back in the day ! . We installed Brand New High Quality Vintage style rubber handlebar Hand Grips. Her Transmission Gears Shift GREAT, Her Clutch Releases & Grips GREAT !!! She is just coming out of a many year Dry Storage Important thing is the Clutch does Grip GREAT !. She has BRAND NEW Gear Box OIL "MODOL" which is said to be the Very Best Gear Transmission Oil you can get) She has Nice Original Fork Tube Rubber Seals which I think look & Nice condition Rubber Fork seals, She has almost "BRAND NEW" looking Vintage style MotoCross Racing handlebars. Unlike most dirt bikes this Beauty, Her down pipe Looks GREAT ! Please Note: the stand is not included However, she has updated Brand New clutch & front brake levers have also been updated as were her AMAZING almost NEW High Quality Front & Rear Tires also..
