Up for sale is my 1955 Chevy pickup. Man, I have owned this truck close to 30 years. It's a long story so here goes.... I bought the original truck outside Dallas Texas and drove it home. It was a small block stick shift. Went back to Texas and picked up a 1956 GMC cab which I installed because I like the dash set up. The body on the truck is totally rust free original except for the lower cab corners that each had a spot the size of a quarter. Welded in new cab corners. Otherwise totally solid. Items done over the years: I installed a 1977 Chevy pickup front clip with all new parts including brakes along with the rear end. ( old school no Fatman's back then ) Ratio is 3.55 open. The motor is a 1976 454 2 bolt hi performance bored 30 over to 468 c.i. It is 100% new with a mild cam. Stock headers with Flowmasters The trans is a built 400 short shaft with a custom driveshaft. I had a custom radiator made to fit. All the wiring was replaced with a Painless kit. Electric 2 speed wipers installed. Steering column is from a early Chevy van tilt wheel. I relocated the gas tank to the back with the filler out the fender. It is custom made aluminum. New wood bed and chrome strips. Speaking of chrome.... it's weak. All was replaced but time has taken it's toll. Might buff up. All rubbers, moldings and vent assemblies were new. No interior to speak of. Seat is from a later Chevy pickup with seat belts installed. All gauges are new but need some sorting out as I remember. Paint is good. Tailgate was new and has a steel rear roll pan and lights. It comes with all the manuals that could be bought. Ok now the issues. I haven't started the truck in 3 years. Fuel is junk and I have the 600 Eldebrock off to clean. This truck has maybe 100 miles on it like it is and it ran strong. No issues there. Also, truck has a smoothed firewall, remote fan cooled trans cooler, chrome pans, new battery, and I can't find one fender moulding. This truck was painted about 13 years ago. It was never buffed and has never been waxed. Serious. I just washed it.
