This auction is for a nice 55 Chevy . It has a V8 with a 3 speed TH350 transmission. The original powerglide has been replaced. It has a small block Chevy V8 but we are not sure of the CID. We are selling this car for a friend to settle an estate so we don't have all the info we would like to have. We have been told it has a 283 and also told it is a 327. We just know it's a small block.. This car was customized in the 90's. Yea, we wish is was a 2 door also but it's not. The good news is it is not priced like a 2 door. We tried to show some of the custom items in the pics. It has a nosed hood, dummy spot lights, fender skirts, chrome smoothie wheels, dummy side pipes, custom tail lights, custom grille and a wooden steering wheel. This car runs and drives very well. It starts right up with no smoke or noises and idles as it should. The transmission shift good and the brakes are good. Some of the electrical items work such as the turn signals, license plate lights in the rear bumper, the dome light and the add on gauges for the oil pressure, water temp and voltage. The gas gauge, speedometer and wipers don't work. The seat covers, carpet and head liner are all still in good condition on this car. The glass is very good with only a small crack in the passenger side door glass [see pics]. The pics in the listing were taken last summer except the two where the car is sitting on our car lot. They were taken last week. The car needs a good detailing [wax, polish chrome, etc.] but can be driven. Of course on any car this old we recommend you trailer it home . We are a Ky Dealer and are selling this car "AS IS". Please ask questions before you bid. A 60 day temp tag is available with proof of insurance if you need one. We want a non-refundable $500 deposit, preferably through Paypal, at the close of the auction and the balance within one week. We ask that you inform us of your plans for payment and pickup at the end of the auction. We like bank wire transfers for the balance but will work with you on method of payment.
