Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is our 1983 Chevy K5 Blazer Silverado 4x4. We bought this nearly 4 years ago, and had original plans to set it up for off-road use. After realizing how clean and unmolested this Blazer was, we decided to start with a different truck. Its never been abused or heavily modded, which is hard to find in these Blazers. Mileage shows approximately 22,800, so we are assuming 122,800. The engine is a 350 out of a 75 Chevy pickup, and it is mostly stock with the exception of an Edelbrock intake and carb, and some aftermarket valve covers and air cleaner. Oil pan and timing cover have new gaskets. A new fuel pump was installed. Originally equipped with AC, but the compressor and other underhood components are missing. The truck has exhaust manifolds and 3 inch single exhaust with catalytic converter and Flowmaster muffler exiting out of a 3 inch taipipe with stainless tip. Wheels are factory original rallys with trim rings and center caps. Tires are 31x10.50x15 all-terrains with plenty of tread. There is a wheel stud missing from each of the front wheel hubs. Transmission is a 700R4 4-speed automatic. The front hubs are aftermarket Warn units. Interior on the truck is all original with the exception of brand-new carpeting. We inspected under the sound deadener and the floors were very solid with no rust-through issues. The seats are presentable, but the red color on the vinyl has faded and there are some rips, splits, etc. The door panels have some fading at the top. The dash pad has several cracks as is typical on these trucks. The stock radio opening has been cut out, and there is currently no radio in the truck. The gauge pods on the left side of the cluster were modified at one point to accommodate larger gauges. Stock gauges have been reinstalled, but the dash bezel still has the modifications from the old ones. We pulled the carpeting and insulation out of the rear cargo area and just left it bare. The new owner can decide whether to install carpeting, Rhino lining, or just leave as-is. Heater, wipers, and lights are all in working condition. Tilt wheel works fine. Windows are manual and crank up and down fine. The driver's wing window is missing the latch that locks it closed. Horn does not currently work. Speedo and voltmeter are working. Other gauges including gas gauge are not presently working. Tailgate motor is in working condition and glass goes up and down fine. One of the spring torsion rods that makes it easier to lift the tailgate is broken, so the tailgate is a little heavy when lifting it to close. The body on the truck is super solid with no rust-out and no evidence of previous Bondo repair. Its been a life-long West Coast truck, so it has never been in road salt. There are some small dents in the rear quarters, and various scratches and nicks here and there, but the paint still has a great gloss to it as you can see in the pics. The truck runs and drives great. It can be driven now as-is, but just needs some tinkering to address the issues above. If you are familiar with these trucks, vendors such as LMC Truck have tons of stuff available for them, so fixing them is easy. Some of the items, such as the vent window latch, are available at many auto parts stores for $25. We just don't have the free time right now or we would address some of these issues. This truck has a clean Oregon title in my name. Here is a link to a short 2-minute walk-around video of the truck with it running. Just copy and paste the link below into a new browser window: https://youtu.be/6x_sdPFrdfs $500 Paypal deposit due at end of auction. Balance due via certified bank check or bank transfer within 3 days of end of auction. We will assist with coordinating transport. Truck is currently stored indoors, and additional short-term storage is a possibility. We are happy to answer any questions about the truck at the number listed below. Bidders with zero feedback will need to contact us through ebay messages or at 360-608-0093 to verify your legitimacy or risk having your bids cancelled.
