What I have is 1981 Cadillac Coupe Deville 2 door. It has 44,770 actual miles. History: Was originally bought in Florida, by someone who bought a new car every year and traded it in.(1st owner). The guy I bought it from purchased it one year old in Florida and owned it until I bought it 2+ years ago. He was a client of my wife's(she cleans houses for senior citizens), and he finally decided to start liquidating some of his vehicles. They lived in Florida in the winter and Michigan in the summer, and left the car in Florida year round until his wife had a stoke and they couldn't travel anymore, and he had his son go down and drive it home. I purchased it from him a couple years back, with the intensions of cleaning it up and getting it painted, but the old story, no money, not enough time, etc.,etc. So since I haven't found any time to devote to the car, and don't have a good place to store it anymore, I've decided to sell it. I drove it 30 miles home, steady 75 mph, but did take it up to 90, just to see what it had. Ran okay, shifted fine, but does need a tune up. It has the 6.0 ltr. 4-6-8 fuel injected engine that I think Cadillac made for 4 years. The guy I bought it from said he use to get 28 mpg driving the intercoastal highway in Florida. The only thing I have found the time to do is replace the rusted rear brake lines and put in a new battery. I have bought all the stuff for a major tune up: plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, oil filter and new wiper blades but haven't found any time to work on it. I have driven it a few times and in our local old car parade, but just never have any extra time to enjoy it. Things I know need attention; power antenna doesn't go up, check engine light is on(needs tune up???),radio digital display is messed up, but it does work, leaks coolant and I believe it's just the hoses that I have ,moulding strip that is off on pass. rear fender is in trunk, drivers arm rest is cracked, turn signal doesn't shut off from one way, but can't remember which way, trunk release in glove box doesn't open trunk(fuse???). It starts, runs, shifts, drives, stops pretty much as it should, other than needing the tune up. Brakes also pull a little because I didn't do a great job when I bled them after replacing rear lines. It has a very heavy duty custom made trailer hitch on it, that was used to a boat, once. It needs a good interior cleaning, There is are no rust holes in the car anywhere that I have found. It does have some surface rust in spots, because the paint is starting to get very thin, probably from the Florida sun/heat. It also needs the bumper fillers, between the bumpers and body replaced. They have deteriorated(plastic). The rear one on the pass. was so bad it just fell apart when I washed the car. The front ones aren't super bad, but do have cracks. The rear filler kit is about $160 and full kit front/back about $340 on Ebay. The car is for buyer pickup in Whitehall, Mi. 49461. If using a shipper I will do what I can to help. I wouldn't recommend driving very far, without the tune up and radiator hosed being replaced. It is in a back yard garage, that after the snow starts getting too deep, I won't be able to get it out. I am going to attempt to put on a buy it now price, and I am not interested in any kind of trade, other than possibly a old school beetle of equal value. The car was appraised by the insurance company at $5000. Reserve and or buy it now are well below that. Forgot to add that the car comes with an 9 layer all weather car cover. Auction may be cancelled due to sale from other advertising, unless it is sale by Buy it Now. Also, anyone who is close enough to come look at/drive the car is more than welcome to, as long as it isn't snowing. It's never been in snow!!!!The car is insured and plated,. so it can be driven on the road. Opening bid is the reserve!!! Bid to own a classic. I decided I will take the entire purchase thru Paypal.
