I am looking to sell my 2002 Ford Explorer for parts or for you to repair. The engine seized last week and needs to be replaced, but I am moving away in one week and will no longer need a car, so don't want to repair the vehicle. It is not running due to aforementioned engine issue, so it needs to be towed away, but I will tow the vehicle at my expense to any location within 100 miles of Seattle zip code 98112. Before the engine seized, the car was running wonderfully. The body is in very good condition, all electronic functions work properly (radio, CD player, automatic windows, A/C & heat), and the car drives very smoothly. I purchased this car outright in January 2013, and have performed regular maintenance on the vehicle since then, including spending a lot of money on various new parts for the car. The individual parts of the vehicle are collectively worth far more than my asking price, but as I said, I am moving and thus don't have the time to sell of the parts individually - so hopefully you can benefit from my car's bad timing! You can also of course repair the engine if you'd like - the rest of the car functions very well. Read on for more specific details about my car: - New ball joints & wiper blades installed in April 2015 - New fuel pump & fuel filter installed in June 2014 - Rebuilt transmission installed in April 2014 (including replacing all internal parts, transmission oil, all seals and gaskets, transmission filter, torque converter, clutches, and frictions) - New thermostat housing, thermostat, o-ring, and water outlet installed in March 2014 - New spark plugs (6), spark plug wires (6), engine air filter, engine fuel filter, and DCV valve installed in November 2013 - All new tires installed in January 2013 (Cooper Discoverer HTP Tires; guaranteed for ~40,000 more miles from today's mileage by Discount Tire) - Regular oil changes every 3,000 miles since I acquired the title (proof can be provided upon request) - Clean title in my name - No cracks in windows or any glass on the car - Working radio (5/6 station buttons), CD player, automatic windows, A/C and heat - Engine has seized, so the car does not run; engine would need to be replaced in order for the car to run - Starter is currently removed from the engine block (wasn't replaced once they determined the engine had seized) so there is no power to the vehicle - Since the car title was transferred to my name in January of 2013, the car has been in one accident (in March 2013), but was fully repaired following the accident (front right of the car was impacted; damage was cosmetic in nature). - Vehicle is registered in New Mexico, with registration & tags all up-to-date. Title is clean and can be easily transferred at your expense. - Body is in excellent condition; there is one small crack in plastic rear bumper, and two cracks in the rear body itself (see photos).
