Up for auction is a 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback. The car will make a great winter project or investment to be road ready for spring. The Mustang is 99% complete. It has a running 6 cylinder engine and operating automatic transmission that are believed to be original to the car. The brakes are in need of replacement so the car cannot be driven, however, when I had it up on the lift the transmission engaged in to gear fine and shifted through all 3 gears and of course reverse. Structurally the car is sound. It appears that it has had several repairs over the years including partial floor pans, rear frame rail extensions, and various patches in the trunk and quarters. Currently the car does not need any major rust repair. There is some body damage on the lower drivers quarter that could be worked out or replaced. The interior has many newer pieces including the carpet, dash pad, seat covers, and door panels. The rear seat is original and the trap door and fiberglass panels are in great shape with no speaker holes. It retains it original 4 lug suspension on the front but the rear end has been changed out for an 8" ,5 lug, open geared unit. Nearly all of the electrical components are functional, head lights, tail lights, and turn signals. Speedometer is also in good working condition. The doors open and shut good. I do not have a key that fits the door but do have one that fits the trunk latch which is also in working condition. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions necessary.
