Vehicle Detail

I purchased this from a local doctor with the intention of having it restored. It is stored in my carriage house, which is being sold this Spring. There are a few bubble spots in the paint, not rusted through. The car was repainted 10-5 years ago. The speedometer was replaced when the car was 4 years old. It had 25,000 miles on it. The odometer now reads 52,000. There is one piece of trim missing on the driver's side window. No other trim is missing. Some of the chrome is faded, overall in good condition. The interior is extremely nice, with the exception of the carpet. 3 of the 4 areas behind the wheels have rust, see pictures. Two small sections behind the driver and passenger seats have golf ball sized rust. There are several thin spots in the trunk, some have rusted through. The motor has a tapping sound. It was diagnosed at the Auto Lab. They service high-end cars in our area. They also serviced this car for the previous owner. If a valve adjustment doesn't solve the problem, the top part of the motor would need up to $4000 worth of work. They said that the engine would not have to be removed. Compression in all 6 cylinders was high. The tires appear to be new. The transmission and brakes seem to work properly. The windshield has a star. It appears to be a very easy restoration. The soft top was replaced, there is a golf ball sized mouse hole in the side. The hard top needs new rubber weatherstripping. Star sized chip on the windshield. I have described all of the issues with the vehicle to the best of my ability. Maine does not issue titles for cars older than 1995. They issue a letter of determination of ownership on State of Maine letterhead. This will come with the car. It is accepted in all 50 states. There is a special process in which they will issue an antique title, it takes two weeks and it involves state official viewing the car. I will answer any additional questions that you might have. The car is very presentable. This will be the last time I list the car. The reserve is 20K and I will not end the auction early for the reserve price. Good luck.
