Vehicle Detail

***I removed the original listing to clear up some items, and make the listing easier for the buyers. I've also included additional pictures of the tent and undercarriage as for some reason they did not upload correctly. I've realized I'm just not going to use the Westy like I thought. I purchased it last year from the 2nd owner (all family owned in Iowa). All belts and fluids have been replaced in the past year. To my knowledge, all propane works, and the refrigerator works as well. I will (at my cost) repair the propane if it does not work. Before the Westy moves on to the new owner, I will have the motor tuned and the propane stove functional from a local VW mechanic in Santa Fe. There is some small tearing/holes in the rear passenger area of the top, as shown in the pictures. The area affected was too small for me to really care, but full disclosure. The sliding door does have some exterior rust, as shown as well. There is no other rust I can see on the Westy. All floors are solid and look new. The tires will need to be changed soon as I do not know their age, and they are not LT rated. The Westy drives great, and can cruise at 65 all day, straight as an arrow. Interior cushions are in amazing shape. Some mosquito nets are included with the Westy, but I'm not sure if all are there, but it sure looks to me that they are all present. Let me know if you have any other questions. I forgot to add the prior owners stored the van in a barn. There is the lightest of surface rust on the undercarriage, as shown in the pics. On Nov-09-15 at 08:21:02 PST, seller added the following information: I am dropping the Westy off at my local independent VW mechanic to have the valves adjusted, engine tuned, and any other needs the mechanic finds for the new owners. Rest assured it will run fantastic for the new owners. If the winner of the auction wants me to have new tires installed before they pick the Westy up, I can arrange that as I highly recommend this done before driving off with it. Plenty of tread on the tires, they just aren't LT rated. On Nov-11-15 at 10:50:11 PST, seller added the following information: The Westy returned from the mechanic today and the following was done: replaced plugs, replaced distributor cap, replaced oil with 20/50 weight, cleaned the newer air filter, compression was in the lower 130's on all cylinders. Hydraulic valves were in great form, and the timing was adjusted. It's ready to go!!
