For your consideration is a beautiful 1951 Ford Custom Deluxe Convertible finished in coral flame red. The vehicle was manufactured at the Long Beach, CA Ford plant and still has 95% of its factory original under coating. It currently has a 1952/1953 "HAC" Mercury Flat Heat V-8 that runs beautifully. It starts literally on the first crank and runs very quietly. The paint shines very well but does have some imperfections including nicks and scrapes as understandable with a driver quality vehicle. There are many upgrades to suspension parts and the vehicle has new brake lines and brakes. The vehicle also has a brand new fuel tank and fuel lines. The vehicle is riding on almost new B.F. Goodrich Silvertown wide whitewall tires. The steel rims have been repainted the same color as the vehicle. The only body panels that appear to have been replaced during the restoration process are the outer rocker panels on both sides. Although, there may be something else replaced that I have missed. The original floor pans and trunk pans are definitely in place. The white convertible top is older and has some imperfections and but is definitely very usable and serviceable. This vehicle only has the manual convertible top option and does not have a power top. This vehicle is well above average with its mechanical condition. The only problem at all is that reverse does not stay in position and has to be held in while you are backing up. The forward gears work perfectly as well as the clutch and its operation. The steering is tight and the vehicle tracks very straight on the road. The brakes stop the vehicle excellently and it does not pull left or right. The headlight are nice and bright and the vehicle still has its original 6 volt electrical system. The chrome and emblems are bright but does have minor imperfections present. I encourage and welcome all inspections. This vehicle is being sold in "as is" condition with no warranties expressed or implied. However, after your personal inspection, if this vehicle does not meet your expectations, the entire deposit will be refunded immediately. A $1,000.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction end and full payment is due within 7 days. The title is free and clear and in my name.
